You can make more than 1500USD/month by playing SSNLHE. I have been doing more than that in the past 17-19months and lately my winning player condition is in doubt in most of the BTPers´s minds. I am not a great player.

You are a very smart person. POker is so much like life because you actually dont need to be so smart like you are and be greatly successful. I know a few winning players from this forum who are really good and I dont consider them very bright. Hell, there are a couple who are CLAIMING to make lots of money that I consider quite stupid and I dont doubt you would if you spend some time talking / reading their posts specially in the Anything Goes section, about any other subject that goes out the poker.... Anyways, my point is that in this game, after really studying and analizing you get to a point where you KNOW with an impressive degree of certanty what is the +EV move at almost any imaginable situation and yet you find yourself doing the -EV move (this statement is true for SS poker, where you dont need to make hard decisions on small edges). Discipline is the key.

I hope you can find your mentor. That´d be something very nice to do for someone with great skills and talent. I think also that is for high rollers. People like Mad Genius who are crazy rich and cant find anything to do with their time and is lacking motivation because nothing challenges him. I havent herard that case here. On this forum most people are still trying to move in stakes and grow their BR. I have to strongly suggest you post this on 2p2 and you might find someone...who knows?
