The whole notion of staking is absurd and plays to the generally degenerate nature of gamblers. If you are good enough, be patient and build a roll. Then you get all the lovely profits. If you aren't good enough to do that, nobody should be staking you. qed

...and yet the 'person' in this discussion has a long online track record and has been crushing the live game in question.
If I know someone and how well they play, it doesn't matter whether they've played in a PARTICULAR game before, you can make an informed guess of their EV in the game...
