I have nothing against the players of partypoker, infact they probably are some of the worst online, although recently i've found the stars 200 6max players to be absolutely atrocious but either way..i doubt it makes much difference. I can understand playing at party for omaha but no other reasons really. Their software is shitty, their interface is clutterred, their "points system" is worse than stars. Their support system is abismal. There was (perhaps still is?) a bug going around whereby if you play too many tables at once (i think 6+, and this may be specific to sit & goes) that your buttons would disappear. Your call/fold/check/raise buttons, and they wouldn't come back. You can't logout/login to get them back, they're just gone, till the end of the sitngo. Hundreds of people from 2+2 have been emailing support, but since the bulk of players don't multi-table and are random donks playing 1 at a time, they either think the hundreds of 2p2ers are lying and trying to get money back, or they just don't care. Either way that's one instance in which their support sucks. I remember a while back they had a bonus and their raked hand counter didn't work properly and a lot of people got screwed out of money. That's another instance.
The last time I cashed money out of there it took about 4 weeks for me to see my money, the website said it would take 2-3 days for a BPAY payment, and i'd used that method before and it worked). I emailed them and it took them 2 days to reply to each one and they weren't helpful at all. When I play on my laptop, the tables glitch up and an entire portion of my tables are blacked out, i have to resize them to fix this problem. Their software is down a lot, and i've been disconnected from them on several occasions. I've never been disconnected from stars. They don't go out of their way to accomodate their players, especially frequent players (vips as they refer to them), stars does.
I can't imagine a thing in the world ever having me play on a regular basis at Party again (oh and sure, you CAN get rakeback, but even that is fairly difficult - and if you achieve platinumstar at stars you have pretty decent rakeback - 20%, supernova is 27%, IIRC).
I think if you want to play against the "worst" (read: overly aggressive, loose, donkish, fish) players on the internet go to Tribeca, Bodog or Pacific. They have enough tables from NL200 to NL1000 to accomodate almost anyone. I'm sure the party tables ARE juicy, just not as juicy as those sites - and that is the absolute only thing it may have going for itself. I just lke stars because it is (imo) the best overall site in every way, and the players are also pretty terrible.
Poker is silly.
It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.
Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
