I have basically waited until I had a big ticket item then pulled out what I needed to pay for it.
Its probably worthwhile waiting to find out where you hit "the wall" when moving up in limits, I found mine was at NL400 - basically I would need to be a serious student of the game to go any further, and given that I have a full time job this is unlikely to change. In essence now as long as I have enough left to play NL200 I am a happy camper.
