Being Halfway through the first volume, I can say all the theories are pretty simple and understandable to me.

Even though its my first poker book and I only have been playing since August.

I think I am going to study it more in the next two weeks making notes so I remember all the theories right and then use it for a month and see what happens before I start on any other books.

What would be a good book to follow it up?

I hear great things about Theory of Poker, should I start with that one or maybe another one? BTW I play low limit NL mostly.

Actually if you want to play MTT's/SnG's I would say that HOH 1+2 and TOP (Theory of Poker) are all you need. They aren't beginner books tho..

If you want to specialise in SnG's then you should also download the free demo of sit n go analyser (and consider buying it)

If you want to play Ring LImit then Winning SSHE (by 2+2) is the best to start with,

If NL Ring then HOH 1 and maybe Pot-Limit & No-Limit Poker by Ciaffone (old but good). I have a new NL book called 'Mastering No-Limit Hold'em' coming in the post this week and I'll post on it later..

If you want to play Heads-Up then HOH2 has a great HU section.

Any Ring player should buy PokerTracker and PokerAce HUD software (together about $100) as soon as they can afford it.
