You are right about my holding phatlad:) I called the raise with J8spades making it 4 handed for the flop with the raiser on my immediate right which is important in hands like this because they will almost always lead at the flop after raising preflop and if you hit a hand hard or flop a strong draw you may be able to trap in multiple players for an extra bet either with a big made hand or as an overlay to your draw. The time to raise this hand is on the flop because many players will take a card off for the turn because the post has grown fairly large hoping to hit something but will fold to no help on the turn. So what happens is what when you do hit your hand you will many times only get them for 1 small bet instead of 2. Here I flopped a decent flush draw with a gut shot straight draw and an overcard which may have been good as well. The perfect card hit the turn and I drug a nice pot made nicer by those extra flop bets:)
