UTG+1 was your typical TAA player - 16 VP$IP / 6 PFR. Everyone else at the table was ridiculously loose. The second that UTG+1 limped from early position I could immediately put him on a narrow range of hands: AJo, KQo/s, 99-77. (Against loose players, I have much more difficulty - especially when they play crap like any two suited cards.)
Flop: Flush draw with an overcard and backdoor straight draw - raising for value (and cleaning up outs for my K). When UTG+1 3-bet me, I thought he had 88 which worried me. But as long as board didn't pair up and I hit my heart, I'd be good.
River: UTG+1 checks? Why would he check with a set? The only hand that makes sense for him is AJ. He doesn't like the overcard K hitting with four others in the hand.

This was a different UTG+1, but still, the same general stats. Once again it was easy to put him on a narrow range of hands.
Flop: He leads into me, then calls the bet and check-calls to river. Durr I think he has KQ!
Of course, I also play tightly from EP so it's easy to put me on a narrow range of hands. I also add any two suited cards ten or higher though. And if the table is loose-passive enough, I'll add AXs and all pocket pairs.Statistics: Posted by EscapePlan9 — Sun Sep 25, 2005 11:38 pm
