Postflop, I'd just play it simple. You're going to be paying off this guy a lot of the time when you make something like bottom pair or even with A-high. But if you push hands like TPGK and better (maybe even middle pair) aggressively you should come out on top. Always re-evaluate at the flop, and be willing to lay it down even if you think he's bluffing if you hand is pretty weak too and the pot is small. Basically don't get into a pissing contest. Just pick your spots and bet the hell out if it when you have a decent hand. Any other time just get out or try and keep the betting controlled.
And yeah, don't bother bluffing him unless the board is something real scary and/or you have a decent number of outs.
+ I also like check raising these guys. Do it every chance you get, even with draws sometimes. It should make him nervous enough to buy you a few free cards and also reduce the cost when your weak hand loses to a slighlty better weak hand.
++ Note that all this hyperaggressiveness is for when you get heads up with him. If the pot goes multiway, don't fall into the trap of ignoring your other opponents, especially if they're rock-like like you seem to be saying.Statistics: Posted by redhouse — Tue Jan 03, 2006 2:36 am
