I raise with other hands though. But with that board, a raise is likely to pick up the pot now, so it is a good option. You are probably right, raise, WTF.

456 with 1 low card showing is a scooping hand. You dont want someone with a 3 card low redraw (like villan) to get to take a cheap look at a low.
Ideally you want to be HU against a hand with now low redraw. With hands like 456, you want to be putting yourself in situations where you can scoop him, but he cannot scoop you. If you make your low, you will be frerolling for the whole pot. Playing this multiway eliminates that chance.
