AC has a small airport...if I were you ( I hate flying, esp. hate small planes etc), I would not fly there. Philly is closer than JFK (Newark is closer than JFK too). I know from Philly, you can take an amtrak train, but thats like $100 or so RT. Best bet is to fly to Philly and then rent a car, its an hr drive.
There are many cheapass buses from NYC (you end up breaking even after the chip rebate they give you), but the downside there is that the bus takes like 3 hrs, you are a slave to their schedule, and you'll be the youngest person on the bus by about 50 years, +/-5. I took the bus once, left at 8am and was drinking a 2 liter screwdriver, 2 large D&D coffees and a huge-ass protein shake the whole way down, and my ass was nothing on these old geezers. These people smelled horrid before they got on the bus. My noxious ass actually added positive beneifts to the ambiet aroma.
So thats the long answer - if you aim to travel in relative comfort, I'd look into the amtrak train from Philly. Rent a car is middle of the road with the pain in the ass being that eventually you'll have to sober up enough to drive. If funds are an issue and you dont mind squeezing into a tiny ass bus seat in a smelly traveling hearse full of people booted from the cast of Cocoon for being too old, then the bus is your way to go.
I'd offer to pick you up from the airport, but I'm sort of a slave to the bachelor party travel plans.
Hope you can find a way dude.Statistics: Posted by Allstar7 — Fri Mar 10, 2006 3:59 pm
