iPoker sites:
Have a lot of traffic at their 6 and 8 handed tables (I think 4th busiest on the Net and they peak at Euro times which is great for me)
Have a standard buy-in for 20BB and rebuy up to that level (so it's fast to open buy-in to new tables and top-up) (also the standard 20BB gives you nice cover as there are a lot of short stacked players who clearly have no clue)
Have a nice filter based wait list so you can get replacement tables of exactly the sort you need quickly (I didn't have to wait for more than 10 seconds for any new table last night)
WILL ALLOW YOU TO RATHOLE AND GO BACK TO THE TABLE (so tables aren't removed from your short-stacking pool as you double up and leave them - so you never run out of tables - that said I have only visited the same tables 3 times in the past 2 hours play as there are so many tables open anyway)
Several sites have good deposit bonuses and FPP based RB...
The players are Euro-donks (in theory this doesn't matter so much when you are short-stacking but in practice parting fools from their money is always easier than parting sharks from theirs)
Have a mini-table view that auto-tiles when you pull up new tables (9 tables per 1600x1200 screen)
Are PT compatible and you can run GT+ with small fonts as a HUD on their mini-view tables
Works with Poker EV so you can replay your best and worst decisions at the end of the session (btw Poker EV is 'the bomb' for short stackers!)
Several sites will let you play up to 16 tables - if you are multi-monitored, starcraft playing, fast reaction time youngster and 8-9 tables just won't do...
They do now have 4 color decks
The downsides:
Your cards are displayed pretty small in the mini-view tables - OK on a 20" monitor but I was squinting a bit on the 17" laptop last night - I may need to find a mod for bigger mini-view cards..
Of course iPoker isn't available to US players...Statistics: Posted by excession — Tue Jul 31, 2007 6:43 am
