Downloaded and had a look at Tropics Poker last night on a whim.
Thought the software and look of the site was very tidy, the games and table images are quite small but that's a pretty good thing because you can fit multitables on one screen without messing with your resolution too much. I could find no major niggles with the live game software at the tables, pretty standard and my brief look at it didn't come up with any major problems, though some of the icons were a little small.
The major problem with this site, and, I assume, many other small sites out there, is the absurd and quite comical lack of games. When I looked in the lobby, despite tabs for tournaments, 5-draw, 7-stud, omaha and holdem, there was no-one playing anything but holdem, and even then the only tables open (on a saturday night! admittedly quite late on..) were a single $50 NL game and a $10 NL game. Therefore there's every reason to suspect that this site won't be there forever unless they can drum up some more custom.
The intro bonus offer was very friendly (very similar to party bonuses in structure, and thus very good) and they have an affiliate deal, but without any players, unless you're happy to play single table NL just to whore the bonus, I don't really see the point.
