When I do come back, (probably around the end of April), I'm going to start on Crypto. I registered with Pokerplex, and they seem to have a good (maybe even better than what I was getting at Prima) RB and bonus deal. Speaking of Prima, I wonder if I'll ever get my money back after the "Tusk" fiasco. I'm not counting on it.
I spent some time at work the other day going over my (lack of) BR management skills. When I come back, I need to take a more inflexible line with myself. Any (serious) trouble I've ever run into had to do with mismanaging my BR. I've tended to be wishy-washy about it, being overly diligent sometimes, and way too careless at others.
So, after re-reading Slotboom's PLO book, and TOP, I've decided that I'm going to continue with the short-stacking. When I come back to it ... it's going to look like this:
ABSOLUTELY NO SNG's or MTTs.
PLO:
0.10/0.20 ($20) ~ $6.50 buyins, no BR minimum.
0.25/0.50 ($50) ~ $16.50 buyins, $500 BR minimum
0.50/1.00 ($100) ~ $33 buyins, $1000 BR minimum
1.00/2.00 ($200) ~ $66 buyins, $2000 BR minimum
From there, I'll require a BR of $6500 (100 buyins at 1/2) to take a shot at 2/4. (Buying in for $130).
I will do this. Now, the question is ... (help me out here BTP) ... what kind of withdrawal strategy should I use? My deposit strategy, as always, will be simply to invest next to nothing (like $100 bucks or so), and then run it up.
As far as withdrawing goes though ... I've tended to either take out money when A) I need it, or B) When I have a lot. I really want to make a more concrete plan on how I do my withdrawals. My wife suggested that I make no none at all until I've achieved the $6500, stay at 1/2, and then withdraw every penny I make over that amount on a daily or weekly basis. When that time comes, this would pretty much give me an indestructible roll, (as per the above guidelines), and some relatively steady "bonuses" in my real-world income.
What does BTP think of this plan? And are there any better ways?Statistics: Posted by PZ — Tue Mar 25, 2008 7:30 pm
