Anyway, since you are out of position the hand becomes much tougher. You could call, but where would that leave you on the turn? You have 8 legit outs and 6 iffy outs, but regardless if you miss and check your opponent is most likely putting you under a lot of pressure. I think I would call and then lead out for a small bet on the turn. Maybe your opponent will view it as a bet wanting to be raised and smooth call, giving you a cheap river. Does anyone think this play would work, or would kenny just get blasted off by a big raise if he leads in for a small amount (I'm talking 1/3rd pot-size or so)?

And of course the button calls with a dominated hand and kills me...but that's life.
:)

so he never checked it to me...i just lead out with $15. does that change anything?? so yeah i was out of position

Anyway,
I decided to move-in here and represent an overpair, also knowing i had tons of outs. i thought him folding was a strong possibilty but instead he called INSTANTLY with AJo..top pair jacks.

I managed to squeak out a Queen on the turn but he hit another jack on the river.

I'm very surprised no one goes for a reraise all-in here. Looks like I have to reevaulate my play... I couldn't believe he didn't even hesitate to call my bet!!!! That really annoyed me and pissed me off.

On an unrelated note, it seems like you are getting into a lot of trouble with AQ in general. I know I usually have a tough time playing AQ, and I think in a lot of cases you can just limp with it, although on the button it's a clear raise. Was this a 6-max table or a normal table?

dealt [Ac][Qd] in the cutoff ..i raise to $8... button calls blinds fold...we both have right around $100 stacks starting the hand.

Flop pot $19
[8c][Td][Jh]

I bet $15 into the $19 pot with my AQ with two overs and an openended straight draw.
button raises min. to $30.

What do you guys do from here?

Results later.
(re-edited because i messed up my position earlier...i was not on the button)
