I will agree that in the high buy in SnG's QQ is a lot stronger then it is in the $5 to 20 SnG's.
QQ vs Ax your a 3 to 1 favorite to win the hand.
QQ vs AK It's now a race.
Risk of ruin in a SnG is much greater then in a cash money game.
That is why I don't like to "shimmy it all in " early in a SnG. Why do I want to risk ruin for a $40, $60 or $80 pot. I don't suggest limping by any means. But like you said you push all in be it out of position or after someone has made a raise, your going to get called by Ax and he is going to spike an A a 3rd of the time and your going to be on the rail. The other 2/3rds of the time you are going to double up but what do you have now that you have doubled up? T2000? not a big advantage over the other 8 players that have anywhere from T700 to T1400. That is why IMO I treat QQ the same way I treat JJ or 10,10 early in a SnG.
I wouldn't re-raise all in with QQ nor would I push all in out of position. To many hands that can beat you.Statistics: Posted by TexasKowboy — Sat Jan 15, 2005 12:21 pm
