Why do you stay away from 7stud online?

Superstition, awareness and consistency...

First of all, in the past, online - I have not done well playing 7-stud. "Not done well" means I lost 1 buyin in about 5-10 hands and I didn't reload. In home games, I have never had that kind of loss (superstition - no I don't really put much into it...)

Awareness - this is the crux of it. I can play Stud, but I need to devote my attention to not only the play of the others, but also the cards that come out. Since I am frequently playing multiple tables, I would either sacrifice my awareness or cut down the number of tables (and by extension cut down my (already pitiful) hourly rate).

Consistency - about 6 months ago, I was playing just about any game I could get into - now I've scaled back to 2 main games - Limit Omaha Hi/Lo and Limit Hold'em. Why? So that I could learn to be more consistent with these games. Sure I can play no limit and pot limit versions of both - and I do on occasion - but by keeping my selection down, I have found that I am more profitable (as long as a juicy table can be found - and usually there is).

Well, I've been away for a little while, seems it is appropriate for me to "reintroduce" myself. Hey guys - anything new going on in the last month or two that I missed?

I've been using the time I once used for poker for other things less productive, so I'm starting back on my bankroll again - which is at a stagnant $150 right now.

Assuming I'm able to get going again - I should be posting more frequently - perhaps even getting a few tournament reports in.

As a side note, in my first SNG last night, I had pocket 8s in my first three hands, and four times out of the first 6 hands... crazy stuff.
