this happened today at noble 3/6 10handed:
i didn´t pay too much intention on my opponents, i only know that the SB is a little to loose aggressive preflop, and calls to much down.

EP2 calls $3
MP1 calls $3
SB calls $3
BB raises $6 (thats me having AA)
everybody calls
4 big bets in the pot

first question here: is it maybe better not to raise in order to keep the pot smaller, so that my opponents dont feel so "pot committed"? then go for a check raise on flop to drive drawing hands out?

Turn: Td

10 big bets in the pot

I was too scared to bet, 3 cards in the zone, maybe someone made their str8. to my relief i won the pot with AA, SB had 3h6h, EP2 had AJo, i dont remember what MP1 had.

would it be better to bet out and fold to a raise, or do you think the checking and calling is best here.

I liked it all except one play.

Preflop: BET BET BET Everytime, you're ahead here get the money in there. They will call two cold with their draws anyway, so make them pay the most they can. Especially at 3/6, people have some brains here, so bet bet bet.

Flop: Bet, good.
Turn: Bet, good.
River: Bet that. AQ made a straight, but that should've been raised preflop. Q9 is very unlikely calling that down unless they're hearts. K10 and KJ beat you now but those hands would've probably raised, J10 would've raised the turn for sure. I don't like a fold to a raise either as the pot is huge, so I'd call, he could be a donk raising the river with KQ easily.

Always remember... this is limit hold'em. No one in their right mind will be folding flush draws, especially coupled with other draws. 63s there had a straight draw with the flush draw, for instance. So, always raise pre-flop. Get more money in while your hand is still the favorite. Make them pay for the mistake they already made by being involved in the pot in the first place.

In the blinds you have to raise AA, you are in posisition before the flop. What kills me is UTG. It seems like every time I raise AA there, it folds right back to me and I win the blinds. My mind knows that's not true, but, my heart thinks so, lol. And, winning small is better than losing big, but...still, the first thing to flash through my mind is to slow play them. After a little argument with myself, the raise wins out.
