Post some hand histories so the more experienced players here can critique your play. I also think it's valuable to get software like Pokertracker so you can see what hands are profitable for you and which aren't.

Any of you guys out there that play limit over a cake, does this strategy prove to be successful? I was thinking of playing some limit to clear some bonus money, but I don't wanna lose my shirt. This thread had not been commented on in awhile, so I was just wondering if this is still a valid strategy in the post frist poker world. Thanks!

I would say so. It's a basic training wheels approach. Cake is chock full of bad players and this strategy should have you entering few pots, but with the edge over your less discerning opponents.

Thanks anteye! My limit game has never really gotten off the ground, and I am sucking donkey balls at NL20 on cake at the moment, so some training wheels tight play might get me out of my funk. I need to work on my postflop play as well.
