Alright-- This hand is actually in my journal, but for those of you all that dont like wading through me talkin about what a cancerous testicle tightwad is, what diahhriec pantloads all the players i play against are, and the various ways I intend to violate peoples deceased relatives, here is the hand.

My question is basically, should i have kept on betting this, given the action, and had i not kept betting, could i ever justify a river overcall in the face of a bet and a call?

My reads on the players is that they are about 60% VPIP, and play way too much and call way too much.

The other one in the pot had a telephone icon in ptracker, and was the king of cold calling raises.

Not so much at the fact that i was beat, but at the way they played it...

was it dumb to keep on betting for value?

Without a turn raise it's hard to put anyone on the straight, so I don't see anything wrong with value betting the river. Personally I go into call-down mode when that comes out so I can get to showdown as cheaply as possible.

I agree w/ Mr. Loosey Goosey. With no one fighting back on the turn, bet the river and cross yer fingers.

That one guy called 2.5 bets cold from the SB with T8s? At a B&M, I actually might have beaten the living shit out of him for that.

Otherwise, four to a straight on board makes it rough, but I wouldn't think that anybody would call all that preflop with those garbage hands.
