20-40 lhe at bodog. the game was full but a couple people are sitting out/gone and we are currently 6 handed so this could go in the short handed section but the players mostly did not seem to be adjusting yet. im in the big blind with KsQd.
its folded to the button, who is agg. and thinking and he raises, the small blind calls, and i call. if the sb folds i may have reraised to take the lead but with him in i decide to take a flop. the flop comes J62 with 2 diamonds. the sb checks and i bet, im not surprised when the button raises and he forces the sb out. i 3 bet. i did this because i though there was a good chance he had nothin, and i was planning on betting any turn and unless he had a J or hit an overcard i thought i would take it down a large percentage of the time. obviously this was player dependant anddebatable.
he calls and the turn is the Td. i picked up an openended straight draw and the 2nd nut flush draw. now my semi bluff just got a lot more semi to it and i bet, he calls.
river is the Ad and i have the 2nd nut flush.
is this a place where most of you would bet for value or check to try to induce a bluff/save a bet as the Kd is certainly a possibility in his hand . i have been playing very tightly (until this hand) and he should have noticed.
this is a situation that occurs regularly and im just curious how people like to handle it.
