I was playing in Nevada this weekend in a 2-6 spread limit hold'em game(you can bet and raise from 2-6 on every street). The blinds were 1/2 and the tight was a little tight except for one or two players. One player in particular was limping in every hand and also calling every PFR in any position. Any time he hit the board w/ a pair or he had a pair in hand he was betting and would call most of the time w/ nothing at all. He only raised once PF the whole night w/ AQ. He also bet at the board about 40% of the time when he had a weak draw and about 75% of the time he had position and no pair, no draw.
In this particular game, where if I bet at a board I can usually get heads up against this opponent, should I limp in to his blind w/ any playable hand for the $2 limp and try to catch or should I be patient and try to play w/ solid hands? At the time I was trying to stay in with him b/c of his capacity to bet w/ any pair. Just curious as to what people would think about staying in against this type of opponent and what type of hands they would raise against him and what type of hands they would call his bet.
