I have to say my feeling on playing BB against these steals is read based. All things equal I might have chucked away the 92o but if I knew the guy raising was likely to be doing it with T8s, then thats different!
If the guy is tight (and in that case has a clue what he is doing) I am not willing to invest more money with my junk hands. If on the other hand the player is a nugget then I too feel the position and skill post flop can make it worth while. I do need to be sure though I can out play him, meaning I make him fold if the flop is unfavourable to him which is not something to be taken for granted at $2/$4 and below.
Currently I am willing to let most played steal a few on me if I have crap but then with even a mediocre hand I tend to reraise from the BB. Again I need to be pretty sure I can fold the guy so I find this works better against medium good players. By knowing I can potentially fold them I think this makes its a better EV situation as it means to are not flop dependant to win the hand. Against a bad player you will still need to hit your hand which reduces the EV in my book. Since I have been going for the "imaginative rock" table image this is one of those situations where I will let my imagination fly a bit.
