You get the general idea. I win a few puny pots heads-up and lose the rest. Then I split when I flop the nut straight. I also won a 4 BB pot later with a set of 4s.

So... I'm now strongly considering moving back to full-ring. At least when I'm not catching cards in full-ring I don't have to worry about the blinds eating me up. Many times in short-handed it goes from 5-handed to 4-handed, so every 2 or 3 hands I'm in the blinds. Plus, in short-handed I push more marginal edges when I'm doing stuff like open-raising 66 from the CO and raising KTs UTG.

I'll put in a few more short-handed sessions to clear this AbsolutePoker bonus. Out of the $150 bonus, only $45 of it will be profit if I manage to be break-even for the next 350 raked hands. If it weren't for the bonus I'd be down $105, so this has been a "free" lesson of sorts on the variance in short-handed play.
