For those of you building your bankrolls and wondering what the play is like at higher levels, check out these hands.
These are from my session today at Party $200NL..Blinds $2/$4. This is the highest stakes available at Party (god only knows why, but thats another story)
1) MP open raises to $15. Its folded to me. Im in the BB with [Qc]. I normally would fold here but this guy is bad and I want to get in a hand with him, so I call.
Pot is $32 and the flop comes [Qd][Th]. I have top 2 pair which is more than enough to play for my stack against this guy. I check and he bets $30. I check raise to $75 and he goes all in for a total of $200. I call.
Turn
River
He has [9c] and wins with a back door flush. Think about how bad his play was.
2) I have [Qh] in the BB. There are 5 limpers to me so I raise to $25 and get 2 callers
Pot is $88. The flop comes [4c][2c].
I bet $55, UTG calls, MP now goes all in for $140. I call and UTG folds.
Turn and river are garbage.
MP had [3d] and I win a monster pot. He limped then caled $25 with [3d]
I busted him again about 20 mins later when he was playing [6h] UTG
3) Very next hand Im in the SB with [Kd]. Its folded to the button who min raises to $8. I reraise to $20. BB (who was just the UTG in last hand) reraises all in to $125. Button folds and I call.
The flop has a king but I dont need it. He has [8s]
Dont get me wrong, there are good players also, but plenty of fish to go around
