I'm holding class today in a new location. The last one was at the Aladdin and we had the audio visual guys there to help us out - we won't be so fortunate tonight. We have a powerpoint demonstration and want to plug the laptop into the TV... can anyone tell me how to do it and/or what equipment is necessary? I don't even know enough to ask a reasonable question...

depending on the tv and laptop, you should be able to use a s-video cable to connect the two. If your tv doesn't have a s-video input there are adapters that you can buy. You hook up the adapter to the s-video port on your pc and then plug red, white, yellow av cables from the tv to the adapter. if you have more questions post them here i will check the thread while at work.

If your laptop doesn't have s-video out, it could get tricky.
