What is sweet tea anyway? Buddy Guy did a great album called Sweet Tea in the late 90s, all old stompy mountain blues stuff from Mississippi and Louisianna. Never knew what it was, though. In Britain we tend to drink tea which is quite bitter if you do not put milk in it, though some people have it without it doesn't do anything for me. Something like oriental green tea, maybe chai at a push, should really be drunk without.
My favourites are Earl Grey and, if I want something strong, assam is pretty good, but earl grey it is most often. I can't really drink the naff supermarket type varieties sold here (bit snobby i guess) so i usually spend a bit more and get something decent.
