I remember when I just started playing 1/2 limit online, I was playing in the £1/2 game at Cryptologic. Anyway, upshot was I lost a near £100 pot in a 1/2 game. I remember finishing up that night almost physically shaking (although I think I had only put about £30 into that pot myself) because that was by far the biggest pot I'd SEEN in a game in which I'd played, let alone taken part in, bet and capped all the way and lost. I had AA, capped preflop, flop came AQx, more betting every which way, turn brought a Q and river a T or something, the winner had QQ of course. I still don't remember ever having been so "struck" by losing a poker hand as that one, and I'm sure i've lost $250 of my stack in a hand since then (somehow I've avoided losing more than that, despite playing in the 200 and even 400 buyins pretty frequently), but now looking back, losing £30 seems like very little indeed and I'd probably not bat an eyelid now, except for the one outer lol.
This game has a strange way of making dollars and cents kind of irrelevant; I guess it's all relative to how much you come with and how much you've got.
