welcome back.

Got another short session in. The good news was I played 4 tables for about 1 1/2 hours without any major problems. The bad news was that tables were dead and I was card dead. For the session I had a WtSD of under 15 and a W$SD of under 40. The largest hand that I won was $4 and my largest loss was $3 when 1/6ed in a 3 way pot. There was a short stack who took the top 1/2 of the main pot and I took the top 1/2 of the side pot which is why it didn't hurt that bad. However, all the money went in when I had > 60% of the total equity so I am not worrying about it.

I have 150ish hands left to clear a Party bonus, then I am going to jump over to Crypto and clear the Will Hill bonus. After that maybe I will play some more SHed at a Crypto that I have rakeback for, or maybe checkout some of the larger games at Party.

Another 1.5 hour session in. I am still a little rusty but it is coming back. During this session I made a couple of pretty good reads, and a couple of pretty deciplined laydowns.

The session ended as an eh. I got sucked out with the nut str8 and nut flush re-draw vs a naked second set who called pot bets all the way down (I did make a foolish river bluff when the board paired). Then about 4 hands latter I got all in with the nut boat (sans quads), got called in two places and a low hit on the river and I split. Grrr.

Anyway, on to Will Hill. I think I am going to play 1 table of $100 Will Hill and 1 or 2 tables of party $25, and possibly a table of Paradise Limit .5/1. If that goes well I think I am going to start playing some some SHed at the Cryptos.

He's been busy with school I think. Hopefully he'll be back sometime. His bro is still in town.

So I guess you guys already figured this out but 57 hour weeks != time to play (does not equal for all you non programming types). My semester ends in 2 weeks, then I go on vacation for a couple of days, and I hope to start playing again when I get back. Next semester is only going to be 48 hours per week + the project that I am working on will be over. Worst case scenario, I graduate in December so I can start playing again after that.

On a side note I have still be playing NLHE once a week with some of my friends so I shouldn’t be completely rusty when I get back. However, it is only $1 buy in and I usually spend more on my share of the beer then I win . This game is quite fun, at one point with $1 buy ins and 7 people playing we had over $40 on the table. I had somebody call my all in when he was playing the board because "he knew I was bluffing" (that decision may have mostly made by the 5th beer)

Well I finally played a session, but unfortunately it wasn’t PLO8. When a stopped playing I took all the money out of my accounts, and I am on vacation so I don’t have my neteller information to repopulate my accounts. The good news is I found $22.75 left in Paradise so I decided to play some 5 handed $10 NLHE.

My welcome back session was a little brutal. I ended up down $12 (so only 1 buy in left) because of 3 brutal suckouts.

Hand 1
5 handed I am in SB and pick up . I raise to 5x BB and get called by the SB.

Flop is . SB min bets, I raise pot and he calls.

Turn is . SB pushes all in (the size of the pot), I call, and he shows .

River is no help.

Hand 2
I pick up in BB and raise to 5x, SB calls (same player as last hand).

Flop is . ½ pot bet to me and I raise pot, SB calls.

Turn is : He says “no spades” and checks to me, I pot he calls.

River is a blank: He checks to me, I check behind and he shows .

Hand 3
This is literally the next hand after hand 2 so I don’t have time to reload and am only at ½ stack.

I pick up in SB, raise to 5x, get called by the same guy who is now OTB.

Flop is . I pot he calls.

Turn is : I push all in and he calles.

River is: and he flips over .

Overall I played surprisingly well. I missed a bet here and there and bet a couple of times I shouldn’t, but overall there was very little rust on my game. I go home on Thursday so if I play again tomorrow it will be $10 NLHE. If not I will start beating up on the Party $25 PLO8 games sometimes this weekend.

party 25plo8 is still REALLY soft -- i goof off there all the time when wasted and still somehow make money.
