Updates in my life? Moving in with Will for a little while, but I most likely will be moving out after that with the others when they get their crap together. :O Not much besides that. Hung out with Liz today, she is AWESOME. Went rock-climbing with her and two friends, really fun sport, really enjoy it and I seem to be good at it with my gollum style. Saw simpsons movie, was good.

Me and Roy decided that I won't be quitting uni. I'll just skip all the lectures and everything, show up for the exams worth 70%, and attempt to get around 80%, ensuring at least a pass. I'm pretty sure that's not that difficult to do, especially in science where it's mostly about memorization, but we'll see. Makes it a bit more interesting.

Poker-wise, beautiful day. +$45 for a total of $165, if all goes well I'll be moving up to 5c/10c by the end of this week easily if not within the next 2/3 days. And that's where the fun starts. I do feel like I am mostly outplaying the 2c/5c tables atm though, so I think I can be ready for the next step. Posted some hands in forums I would like some more advice on. :O

Today's FUN NEWS. Sat at a bus stop for 8 hours and got paid to do it. That's my job. That's pretty much it. Fun news? Today's more of a poker day I think rather than any news.

Weee a good day, +$35. Brings my BR up to $200, which means I get to move up to 5c/10c tomorrow, though not today, too tired. I really think I'm crushing the tables at 2c/5c, getting good reads and playing really differently from how I used to play. Let's see what the players are like a step up. Added semi-bluffing and just reading when the other player is weak so I can re-raise him with hands like this. Fun how easy it is to just add concepts to your play ^^

One last question, I read in the theory of poker that Sklansky says and I quote "It is a good idea to semi-bluff less often when you are last to act, especially if many players have checked ahead of you" and he says this is a time when you do not semi-bluff. But why is this? If everyone checks behind me, there IS the potential for someone to re-raise me if I raise, but most likely most will fold, the pot gets bigger, and you build a bigger pot for you to potentially win?

If you bet in EP like he suggests more often, than anyone with a good hand is almost guaranteed to re-raise you? So LP is better than EP as opposed to what he says for semi-bluffing no? Can someone clarify this point for me?

I know that, I was just more concerned about his argument that LP is worse to semi-bluff than in EP. I think that's stupid, as LP gives you the position to see what happens on the next hand, and if you raise in EP, if someone thinks you are semi-bluffing or has a very good hand, they're going to re-raise you anyway, so LP is better than EP as opposed to what he says.

Meh, crap day for poker today Tried the 5c/10c tables, was just wicked sick lol, people were calling me down with a pair of 6's when I had AQ, betting pre-flop, flop and turn, set over sets, flush over flushes. Sucks

Today down $45. :O Was probably playing slightly tilt after a while, so I quit and didn't really get to have many good hands. But looks like I'm back at the 2c/5c until the $200 hits again Oh well, slight set-back, no biggie. ^^ Only have one hand for you today Roy then that I had no idea about

Oh yeah, might want to add an analysis in. Pretty sure I am beat, but no idea how else I could have really played this besides betting slightly more on flop. The re-raise all in is pretty indicative of at least two-pair if not the straight, so I'm pretty sure I'm behind. Fold yes?

Turn bet too large? Wanted to get rid of any flush/straight draws and you guys always say I bet too little on turn so?

Most other sites don't have micro stakes tables and if they do then I doubt the level of play at a 2c/5c game is really THAT much better (if at all) at stars than at any other site.
