Today I cruised past my goal of $6k and cashed out half my roll to pay for upcoming wedding photos. Very satisfying to be able to convert my efforts to date into something tangible.

A solid day was had at the NL200 tables, +$800 or so.

My biggest loss was a hand where I think I played it optimally, but still lost 100BB:
Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
5 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $132.07
CO: $52.29
Button: $41.05
SB: $200
Hero: $443.85

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with [Ah] [Kh]
3 folds, SB raises to $8, Hero raises to $25, SB calls.

Flop: [6s] [Kc] [8s] ($50, 2 players)
SB bets $36, Hero calls.

Turn: [3h] ($122, 2 players)
SB bets $76, Hero raises all-in $382.85, SB calls all-in $63.
Uncalled bets: $243.85 returned to Hero.

River: [2d] ($400, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $400)

Results:
Final pot: $400
SB shows 8c 8d
Hero shows Ah Kh

Anyone find a fold on the turn? Villain was a total unknown.

My biggest win of the session came from a flopped flush, this kids is why you should never limp in a 6max game, if you do, dont play for stacks:
Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
6 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $141.75
UTG+1: $46.66
CO: $253.45
Button: $188.10
SB: $405.80
Hero: $200.35

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with [9d] [3d]
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB calls, Hero checks.

Flop: [Qd] [Ad] [6d] ($10, 5 players)
SB bets $5, Hero calls, UTG raises to $20, 2 folds, SB calls, Hero calls.

Turn: [Ac] ($70, 3 players)
SB bets $80, Hero calls, UTG folds.

River: [7c] ($230, 2 players)
SB bets $100, Hero calls all-in $96.35.
Uncalled bets: $3.65 returned to SB.

Results:
Final pot: $422.7
SB shows 5h Ah
Hero shows 9d 3d

So whats next? Build my bankroll back up to $8k and then move to NL400, by that time I should be past 15k hands at NL200. After 11k I have stabalised at 9.67BB/100.

Current Bankroll: $3840
Cashed Out Profits: $4000

I ran hot tonight, 2 hours, 4 tables, 4+ buyins at NL200. Right at the end of the session I made a terrible turn decision for my biggest loss, clearly it was time to stop:
Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
6 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $215.10
Hero: $243.65
CO: $112.78
Button: $357.85
SB: $275
BB: $191.15

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with [Js] [Qs]
UTG folds, Hero raises to $7, CO calls, Button calls, 2 folds.

Flop: [5s] [Qc] [9c] ($24, 3 players)
Hero bets $22, CO folds, Button calls.

Turn: [7d] ($68, 2 players)
Hero bets $40, Button raises to $80, Hero calls.

River: [7h] ($228, 2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $68.22, Hero calls.

Results:
Final pot: $364.44
Button shows Ad Ac
Hero doesn't show Js Qs

In my defense, he had done the same thing to me a couple of hands earlier, I felt he was making a move, but obviously he just hit two hands.

My biggest win of the session was a standard hit set and stack a donk with top pair, however this one is more interesting, had him all in on the flop drawing to 3 outs:
Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
4 players

Stack sizes:
Hero: $200
Button: $200
SB: $215.34
BB: $371.65

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is UTG with [4h] [Ah]
Hero raises to $7, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: [2c] [Jh] [3h] ($21, 3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $19, SB raises to $44, BB folds, Hero raises all-in $174, SB calls.

Turn: [5s] ($407, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $407)

River: [Qd] ($407, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $407)

Results:
Final pot: $407
SB shows 5h 7h
Hero shows 4h Ah

After that session my PTBB/100 is now 10.54 after 11366 hands, sustainable?

Friday I hit a nasty downswing, it was made worse by the fact I was playing NL400 at the time (which I will not be doing again till I have $8k bankroll). Got things back on track again tonight however.

Biggest loss of the evening was losing with KK vs QQ all in preflop to a rivered flush. The poker gods saw fit to return the favour later however, when my AA rivered a flush vs my opponents AA.

My biggest win of the session was through a pretty sick call on the river:
Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
6 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $213.12
UTG+1: $57.45
CO: $130.55
Button: $227.19
SB: $216.55
Hero: $221.55

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with [8c] [6s]
UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, CO calls, 2 folds, 2 folds, Hero checks.

Flop: [7d] [9d] [8d] ($7, 3 players)
Hero bets $6, UTG calls, CO calls.

Turn: [8s] ($25, 3 players)
Hero bets $23, UTG calls, CO folds.

River: [Qh] ($71, 2 players)
Hero checks, UTG raises all-in $182.12, Hero calls.

Results:
Final pot: $435.24
Hero shows [8c] [6s]
UTG doesn't show [Td] [Ks]

The only hand that would shove there, rather than bet for value, was a busted draw me thinks.

Tonights session, 2 hours, 2 buyins, +$400.

Ive decided to shift $3000 over to cake poker so that I get rakeback and can work through a $500 signup bonus. If the games are as juicy as everyone says, ill probably play there for a while.

I cashed in most of my "party points" and had a decent winning session, +$500 in total.

It would appear that the move to cake is the best thing anyone can do for their bankroll. Words cannot describe how soft the games are at NL200 there, very very little 3betting preflop, lots of limping, little aggression postflop. Yes, there are a handful of sharks making a killing, but they are easy enough to spot.

After 4 hours total on cake, I have cleared $80 of the $500 signup bonus, made $1300 and had the glorious situation of a player check raising all in when I held quad aces. My neteller daily limit only allowed a transfer of $2500 into cake initially, so I put the rest back into party after they offered a reload bonus.

My party bankroll should be higher, but I donked off $300 playing PLO100.

Noticed I just cruised past a bit of a milestone, $10k profits in total after starting with $1.

Current Bankroll: $2250 (Party) + $3850 (Cake) = $6100
Cashed Out Profits: $4000

Ran really bad tonight, flopped a set in a 3bet pot twice and lost to runner runner flushes. QQ < 22 all in preflop for a stack, QQ < 56o on a flop of 3 6 J all in, ran into two flopped flushes with strong hands, bleh.

Current Bankroll: $2250 (Party) + $3200 (Cake) = $5450

Since my previous post I was not only running bad but playing bad, culminating in a terrible hand which can be found in the NL forum where I paid off a LAG/Maniac/CS when they rivered quads.

I had been playing 4 tables at a time on cake, which is fine when you hit hands since all the short stacked donks hand you their chips, however due to the fact I cannot resize the tables, it is hard to keep track of more than 2-3 at a time.

Ive dropped back to 2 tables and started working heavily on my reads vs the regulars, some of which are terrible players but excellent at fleecing the shortstacks.

I just finished a pleasing session of +2 buyins in around 1 hour, one of which came playing heads up vs a regular who is rather easy to read and exploit. In the end I frustraited him to the point that he shoved over my turn bet with a flush draw + gutshot when I was holding the nut straight, ching ching, very satisfying.

I am going to follow a process of starting with two tables, getting solid reads/notes on all players, then adding another table and repeating. Continuation betting vs many opponents is -EV as they will call with K high no draw, and yes, this is NL200. Very different to party where players at least need a pair or draw to call.

Since switching to cake I have cleard $400 of the signup bonus, which basically means I have broken even, and earned $270 in rakeback which will be paid monthly. It looks like ill get around $500-600 per month rakeback at my current play rate, which is a juicy little bonus.

Current Bankroll: $2250 (Party) + $2900 (Cake) = $5150
Cashed Out Profits: $4000
