Wow 3 BTP'ers at Cake 2/4, may I suggest that we update each other on our SN's in case we change it (easily done on Cake I understand). Bye bye reads and donk buddies.

I think it's only fair that I give you my S/N as well then.

I currently play under "Skibumm" so good luck at your tables and stay away from mine.

If you don't you know I'll steal your blinds Semillon... :)

If there is a big fish or several small ones at a table ill sit at it regardless of who else is there ;)

As suggested by kenny I wont be holding back in any hands, however if we do happen to tangle in a big one no doubt it will get broken down on the forums as well which can only be a good thing from a learning perspective.

Good luck!

Played a short 1 hour session last night and dropped around 2 buyins at NL400.

One hand I 3bet AQs from the SB and was flat called by the button opener. Flop came Q high and I obv got into deep trouble vs his KK. I then proceeded to tilt a little and shoved my AK over the top of an obvious shortstack AA who min 4bet me.

The other losses were all either coinflips or suckouts all in preflop vs shortstacks, AK < AJ, AQ < JJ etc.

Mildly annoying to take a step back from the previous winning sessions.

Well Sept turned out to be a very bad month, I only ended up +$700 with +$1300 pending from rakeback within a week or so. I took a break from poker over the weekend to try snap out of a cycle of feeling like I was chasing losses, rather than playing patiently.

I guess being ahead +$2000 isnt too bad, however it should have been more like $4000-5000.

Well my confidence is a bit shot so I decided to cash out $4000 from my bankroll and move back down to NL200 to rebuild somewhat.

I realise in my last few sessions ive been pushing too hard to try make wins happen, rather than playing each hand well and letting the variance sort itself out.

Stoneburg gave me my mojo back

After reading about nittieness in the general forums I realised why I had been on a losing streak - perhaps it should have been obvious but I was playing too many hands under the wrong situations.

There is no need to raise garbage hands like K7s from the button on cake for image purposes, because 90% of the players are not paying attention anyhow. I tightened up my range, especially for calling a raise and before too long I was up x4 buyins at NL200 and finally have confidence back in my game.

Best of all I won on all 4 tables I was playing, at least 75BB on each - that is usually a good sign that your game is solid.

I'm not going to mention last nights session where I dropped 3.5 buyins over 2 hours.

Next target: build to a bankroll of $8000 and get back into NL400 action.

Had a nice little session on cake this evening, +$750. Don't really have any interesting hands to post, everything was fairly standard including a couple of ~50BB shortstacks happily getting all in with bottom pair.

Good to see the bankroll heading in a positive direction again, "only" 15 buyins to go before NL400 again!

Short session last night for +$100, should have been more but I made a couple of bad calls.

Realised using my favored cashout method I can only do $3000 at a time, so Party bankroll is actually a bit higher.

Played two sessions today, first one I don't really know what happened but I lost x5 buyins at NL200 in under an hour. Had lots of second best hands obviously, finishing up with set over set for 150BB before I called it quits.

Jumped back on later in the afternoon and made it all back plus +$100.

In the second session I only really misplayed two hands, one was not raising a set on the flop and then calling a river raise when clearly they would only be doing it with a bigger full house. The second was getting timid with AA vs a guy who would happily stack off with top pair on a J high board, we were somewhat deep and I probably missed out on $150 of value.

Midweek update: Monday I played for 1 hour and dropped $300 before deciding it just wasn't my day. Last night I jumped on for 1 hour and won around $900, so obviously it was my day.

I was a bit naughty and sat down at one NL400 table (underolled) and two NL200 tables, the best hand came on the NL400 table obv:

I raise KJo to $14 from the button, aggro player in BB calls. Effective stacks $520.
Flop ($30) [Qh] [Tc] [4s]

BB leads for $18, wtf? I smooth call.

Turn ($68) [9s]

BB leads for $70 - Bingo! I raise to $190, BB calls.

River Blanks

Villain check/calls my shove and shows down 99.

Actually I think I played mistake free poker for the short session, I was feeling very patient and was definitely in the zone.

Foolishly I did not follow Coopers advice of not sitting at an NL400 table until I am correctly rolled and naturally I got myself in trouble by making lots of second best hands.

I also played a bit of PL08 and for some odd reason ended up at a $200 buyin table where I lost an all in coinflip. Earlier I had played some very successful PL08 ($25 buyin) on Party where I ended up winning around 4 buyins.

I definitely need to stick to the NL200 games for the time being, might mix it up with some more micro limit omaha since the games appear to be a goldmine once I improve my strategy.
