1.5 hour boring Ongame session.

All in pf with QQ vs AA and won, I was happy about my first suckout for awhile because it's time my EV curve gets it's act together.

10 minutes later I get AA myself, all in pf vs QQ who hits his Q on flop and there my curve dropped back to it's old self again.

I have started throwing in more 5/10 tables in my table selection again though Ongame 1000's has seemed rather dry of late.

Found 2 favorite fish at 1000NL so I fired up 2x1000 tables, I added 3x600 tables to this.

Within 10 minutes:

I raise KQ in MP, fish on button calls. Flop K54, I CB, fish calls, turn is blank and goes c/c, river blank, I bet pot, fish calls with AA There goes 500$.

other donk limps, I raise with T7s on button, flop K7T, he cr my 60 bet to 150, I 3 bet to 350, he push i call, he has 77 and hold up. There goes 1000$.

I get a few JJ hands which are 3 bet preflop and I pretty much have to fold on the flop and there goes another 400$.

Down 2K in 10 minutes and I start getting a bit irritated, I get more aggressive and pull of some big bluffs which all works this time, for example.

I raise 22 in SB, good tag calls in BB.
Flop QQ6
I cb $30 he calls
turn A
I bet $80 he calls
River K
I bet $230 and he finally finds a fold.

I stack a donk with AK on a K64 flop, he has K8 +600$.
I stack another reg with 22 on a KJ2 board, he has KJ. +600$

I find another fish at 600NL and pick up about 800$ from him. He is playing like a complete maniac:

He calls with 70% of all hands preflop, he both calls raises and coldcalls most 3 bets For 30 minutes he keeps turning and rivering everything. He also plays completely reckless and gambles with most hands. There is another decent reg next to me who also tries to get a lock on him:

reg gets all in with AQs vs maniacs AJo preflop for $600, maniac hits his J on flop and wins.
reg goes for 3 streets of value against maniac with AK on A2485 board, maniac shoves river and reg calls with AK, maniac has A3 for rivered str8.

After awhile both I and maniac sit with 2000$ stacks and things SHOULD start to get interesting but I can't make anything against him, though I steal some big pots from him with a few big river bluffs which works. Basically because I knew he is trying to steal a lot of pots on the river with a big bet, so I let him to it and CR him big twice.

After 2 1/2 hours grind I sit out with +300$. Amazing how good +300$ feels when you start a session -2K$.

The T7 hand i'm not sure i like the 3 bet. other than a hand like AK, I think he gets away from everything you beat. Since you have the lowest two pair i'd think about calling the min raise then putting more money in on the turn.

Unstuck !

It actually took me faster than I had expected, pretty sure it was exactly 1 month ago I went on my 1000NL meltdown (7buyins) which continued with another 10 buyin drop at 400NL for a complete 17 buyins or -11K$ swing. My deepest downswing to that date was 12 buyin and dropping 17 buyins really affected me.

I have grinded my way out of it, mostly on 400/600NL tables and yesterday I scored a 1.2K$ session to get unstuck and it feels pretty damn satisfying and I feel I have come out stronger than ever before. I still have been running quite bad in both jan / feb and as soon as the variance start coming my way more again I expect to put in some solid winnings. Still I am really happy about +11K$ in the last 4 weeks.

Not much fun to report, I have been grinding a lot of 600-1000NL at Ongame but have had rather dry sessions with not much playable hands / action. Kind of boring and frustrating but these are periods that you have in Poker and all you can do is to hang on and try not to bleed out too much. I have probably dropped around 2.5K$ during my last 4 sessions.

Funny how I always get coolered at 5/10. Last session I had the following hands:

I call in BB with 66 in raised pot, flop 6JT rainbow board, get it all in on rag turn, villain has JJ.
-1000$

Uber aggro villain with 50BB 3 bet I 4 bet shove with JJ, he calls with AQo and hits his A.
-500$

call in BB with 44 in raised pot, flop 425, villain (who open raised button) has A3s for the flopped nuts and hold up
-1000$

Uber aggro villain (42/30/x) from hand 2, 3 bets me again from BB (Im on button with AQs) to $135, he only has 800$ in his stack. I shove AQs on button and he has AA this time.
-800$

Fortunately I stack villain on button with AA in 3 bet pot pf, flop is JTT with spade flush draw and we get it in on flop, he has QQ and I hold up.

And yes as usual I sat with a couple of fullstacked 1000$ donkeys who called off people with 3d pair and shit without making a hand against them. I try to play some hands and CB some flops and turns but they give me NO respect and call down with the most incredible crap. Same story as usual, they are involved in 50% of all pots and when I get AA in BB its folded around to me all day long lol.

-2300$ for 2 hours of 5/10. Wholy crap.

This hand took the cake of tonight, it actually makes me considering quitting poker for some reason.... Looking back I still think I had to call river ? seriously...
