Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

So yesterday was kinda brutal. I started by donking off a stack and a half in a three way Omaha8 pot with second nut both ways. DONK. So I bled off another stack, and then went to the 2/4 LHE tables at party to finish the bonus. I have been contemplating a new sLAG style for the whoring periods at party, and gave it a shot. 282 hands, 22/14/5.3, -89.75. The worst was AA v. KK 5 way, flop KKJ, turn A, river not an A. I am supposed to pay that off all day long, right? Heh, I actually think the style could be successful against a typical WT table, and I just jam more of my speculative hands. I might try it again in the next bonus period. But I finished the bonus, so I'm outta Party and on to my other bonuses.

Went to True Poker and went up 2 buy-ins at the NLHE 25's, bled $10 at the NL50's and won $20 at the PLO8 50s in a 1.5 hour session, clearing 11% of the bonus.

Played a short session of 2/4 at nine poker, up $22 and cleared a few more points toward the deposit bonus.

I think I am glad to be done with party for now. Stars needs a reload bonus.

I love poker on days like yesterday. It was gravy. Too easy. First, I cleared 150 points and am on my way to catching up to be on pace to clear the B2B bonus. Of course, I was down a bit from play there, like 22e playing 2/4 LHE, but I didn't make any glaring mistakes that jump to mind.

Then, I discovered that Noble Poker deposited $10 in my account. I ran it up to $20, and I will try to double it every day. Just seems like a silly fun sort of thing to do. I'll stop at busto or when it hits $640, which would be on Wednesday.

I played two sessions in the evening of exclusively NLHE. For some reason, there were no good LHE games on the Akshun Network other than .5/1 and 15/30. The 15/30 game looked like a mint, with a couple of donks that I have played with at 4/8, but 15/30 is just a tad high for my b-roll. So off to no limit hold'em. As I noted several times on irc yesterday, no limit holdem is a really easy game. As I noted several times on irc yesterday, no limit holdem is a nearly impossible game. I don't know how you guys play no-limit all the time, but I think I am gonna try it for a while for a few of my daily sessions. I am kinda a DONK, so bear with me. I just learned, for example, that a utg limp + mini re-raise = monster, and that I should not push with my QQ, unless and of course i just KNEW that that Q would flop and I would suck out, in which case pushing is a fantastic idea. Something that I have discovered, which has been covered here at BTP, is that if you push with the nuts, you stand a decent chance of getting called. No one expects it or sees it coming. Especially if you are playing 25NLHE you raised 4x BB from MP with 76s and flopped a gutter, c/b'ed the flop, hit on the turn and then pushed. No one sees that coming. Not even the flopped set and TPTK (yes, slow-playing fools, hahaha). River bricks and I triple through my $40 stack when both villians have me covered. No limit hold'em is easy. I played 25NL and 50NL yesterday, what a hoot. Problem is mostly the painfully slow bonus clearance rate. Ick. I am thinking of trying the patented Excession short-buy in B2B 100eNLHE 6-max move. NLHE clears bonii very well on the B2B network, so I may take the plunge.

Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Yesterday's sessions were quite good. I was really on my A game, and the deck hit me in the face. I love this game.

I am about 1/2 way through the crypto $30 weekend bonus, which clears concurrently with the $100 monthly. I played 1/2 7CS, sitting with our own Juskimo for a while in which we were both running over the table, him through good play, me by getting run over by the deck including starting hands of JJJ and 777, and an OESFD on 4th that made a straight on fifth. I was up a total of $63 playing 7CS.

I spent most of my session at the crypto 3/6 GBP LHE tables, which were silly good, good enough to ignore the pinch of the 3 GBP rake (!). Let's see, 3/6 GBP table with see flop % hovering around 45, or 5/10 USD tables with see flop % hovering around 21, just so I can avoid paying 2x in rake. Hrmmmmm, I'll take door number one. Then the deck crushed me once more, and I found willing donors. I hit most of my sets (haven't gone back through PT yet for exact numbers), hit a gutshot where I was in the BB and got to the turn for free, got paid on AA twice, KK and QQ unimproved once. Up 155 GBP.

Yesterday's Results: +$352
Deepest Stuck: -$0.25 (one 7CS ante, that's it folks)

Well, the streak of winning days has ended. I finished -$1 yesterday. The major culprit for that loss is MVP. I received $10 at Noble Poker, and had run it up to $51. So, on MVP's suggestion, I cashed out and headed over to Pacific. Sure enough, the 100NL tables were aquariums. I saw some of hte worst poker play I have even seen in my very limited no-limit holdem poker playing life. I ran it up to about $130 at one point, and then it all came crashing down in a pretty unspectacular KK v. AA all in pre-flop and I failed to suck out. So, licking my wounds, I headed over to 9 Poker and fired up a 5/10 LHE table. I jammed QQ pre-flop and had to give up on a AKx flop, flopped a set of 5s against 4 opponents and hand to give up on a four flush board on the river. One of them actually got there on the turn and got redrawn by a slow played AA. Haha. Donks. Slow play AA, let me hit my set cheap, go nuts on a flush board. So, I left the 5/10 game after a few minutes down $83. I was about to call it a night (I only played one session yesterday, I have a nasty cough and head cold), but emmasmom was deep in the 5+1 shootout at Party, so I stayed up and headed over to True Poker. I fired up a 2/4 and 3/6 table, and mounted my comeback. I flopped set over set on an AJx flop where villian and I capped every street. I ended the session when emmasmom busted out of the tourney in 7th (3 paid in final round, but top finishes in first three rounds all paid). I took my $1 loss and called it good. I am thinking of redepositing at Pacific, or running up the $20 I have left there, so Noble's $10 isn't busto quite yet.
