I love poker on days like yesterday. It was gravy. Too easy. First, I cleared 150 points and am on my way to catching up to be on pace to clear the B2B bonus. Of course, I was down a bit from play there, like 22e playing 2/4 LHE, but I didn't make any glaring mistakes that jump to mind.
Then, I discovered that Noble Poker deposited $10 in my account. I ran it up to $20, and I will try to double it every day. Just seems like a silly fun sort of thing to do. I'll stop at busto or when it hits $640, which would be on Wednesday.
I played two sessions in the evening of exclusively NLHE. For some reason, there were no good LHE games on the Akshun Network other than .5/1 and 15/30. The 15/30 game looked like a mint, with a couple of donks that I have played with at 4/8, but 15/30 is just a tad high for my b-roll. So off to no limit hold'em. As I noted several times on irc yesterday, no limit holdem is a really easy game. As I noted several times on irc yesterday, no limit holdem is a nearly impossible game. I don't know how you guys play no-limit all the time, but I think I am gonna try it for a while for a few of my daily sessions. I am kinda a DONK, so bear with me. I just learned, for example, that a utg limp + mini re-raise = monster, and that I should not push with my QQ, unless and of course i just KNEW that that Q would flop and I would suck out, in which case pushing is a fantastic idea. Something that I have discovered, which has been covered here at BTP, is that if you push with the nuts, you stand a decent chance of getting called. No one expects it or sees it coming. Especially if you are playing 25NLHE you raised 4x BB from MP with 76s and flopped a gutter, c/b'ed the flop, hit on the turn and then pushed. No one sees that coming. Not even the flopped set and TPTK (yes, slow-playing fools, hahaha). River bricks and I triple through my $40 stack when both villians have me covered. No limit hold'em is easy. I played 25NL and 50NL yesterday, what a hoot. Problem is mostly the painfully slow bonus clearance rate. Ick. I am thinking of trying the patented Excession short-buy in B2B 100eNLHE 6-max move. NLHE clears bonii very well on the B2B network, so I may take the plunge.
