Sometimes the wheels just seem to spin.

I am 13 VIP from clearing my 24h bonus. I went down €101 in 20 hands at a 2/4 game. I had never before been the obejct of pity at a poker table, at least not to my knowledge. I had just had AA cracked by TT that hit a set on the river after cappping PF,flop, bet and raise turn and called river. This guy has been very aggressive, so I did not really think that I was behind, but that T gave me a sinking feeling, like I just knew that I was beat, and not because it put 4 to the straight on the board. I lost with set over set and flush to a higher flush in the prior orbit. Of course, I was jamming the whole time. I did manage to win a pot with a set of QQ - otherwise I hate to think of how bad it could have been.

Have pity on me sir: I have JTs in the BB. One limper, I check the option. Flop T86r. I bet, he calls. Turn 9 completes rainbow. I bet he calls. River 7, putting a straight on the board. I bet, he calls. He shows . . . . . QJ. Turned the nut straight and called it down.

I suffered another type of beat yesterday when I was in the middle stages of a 10+1 PLO MTT on stars with 50 players remaining, top 18 spots paid, and I had about twice the average stack. A cement mixer ran off the road and hit a utility pole down the street from my house, knocking out power for 2 hours. I could not leave the house, so I was done. I came in 26th posting and folding. UGH. Maybe I am the most cursed BTPer at the moment. I even busted out of a cashable BJ bonus for the first time on Wednesday, although the BJ whoring is still going quite well overall and I was playing a high RoR strategy on that casino to cut down on the time required to clear the bonus.

I was up one buy-in at the 25PLO tables, down $3 at the 50s, up €31 in an earlier 24h quick session, and down $37 in various MTT buy-ins where I did not cash in any of them. Overall a down day, but I will just keep on my game and know that good things will come. Especially if I play more PLO.

I don't know why I don't listen to myself sometimes. I decided that I would clear the Empire bonus, and went staight to the LHE tables. The only 3/6 FR table going was fantastic - VP$IP of 36, two players that were 50+/0/<2. The seat to the immediate right of both of them was open. This was going to be money in the bank. Yeah, right. My only read on Button is that he is a 30/10/6 LAG over 70 hands. He has been getting very lucky.

This is a raise of fold PF hand. I chose poorly. I had button on KQ or KJ. His action in this hand did not make much sense to me. I think I still fire on the river, given that I beat his entire probable range except QJ.

I dumped $170 at that table that was supposed to be easy money. So much for the Empire bonus. I'll go back and sit in that game again if it goes tonight though. These guys were pretty bad.

Finished the Empire bonus over the weekend, if you can call it that - bought in for $500, cashed out $480 including that $200 bonus . The aforementioned $170 loss at 3/6, dropping a stack at $25 PLO and two stacks at 25 NLHE makes me not like Empire so much. The 3/6 game should have been a good win, the PLO loss was the result of donking off chips, nay spewing chips, and going down 3 buy-ins before mounting my comeback to finish down 1 buy-in. The NLHE losses were actually and unfortunately all in one hand. I was up a buy-in and got 88 in the big blind. Button min. raises, I call. Flop is a beautiful 844. Button has quads and has me covered, ah, well.

Bodog is good. I played some 25 PLO8, 3/6 SH LHE, 2/4 LHE including an extended HU session, and finished up $360 in total. I love that site, I hope it never changes. I am back off to Bodog to clear some cobwebs, and the rest of the 10% deposit bonus, before hitting up the cryptos and then clearing the next B2B in line.
