Well, decided to play a little at stars. 260 hands, up another $61. Tables were naturally a bit tighter than party, so had to get a little more creative and a couple plays really paid off.

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with [4h], [4d].
5 folds, Hero raises, Button calls, SB calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (7 SB) [4s], [Ts], [3d] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, Button calls, SB raises, Hero 3-bets, Button folds, SB calls.

Turn: (7 BB) [Td] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB caps, Hero calls.

River: (15 BB) [5h] (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, Hero caps, SB calls.

Final Pot: 23 BB

Results in white below:
SB has Tc As (three of a kind, tens).
Hero has 4h 4d (full house, fours full of tens).
Outcome: Hero wins 23 BB.

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with [Qc], [Tc].
2 folds, Hero raises, 3 folds, CO calls, 3 folds.

Flop: (5.50 SB) [8c], [9h], [Ac] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls.

Turn: (3.75 BB) [Jh] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls.

River: (5.75 BB) [7h] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, CO caps, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 13.75 BB

Another 300 hands at stars today, down $16. Was pretty much card dead most of the time, but played pretty well when I had them and made some good laydowns when I needed to.

Back to Stars to work on the bonus a little more. Played about 300 hands of $2/4, ended up $94 on an 8BB/100 pace. Hade some nice pots and my pairs mostly held up.

These two were fun:

Hero bets, BB calls, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, CO calls, Button calls.

Turn: (5.50 BB) [6c] (5 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP1 bets, CO calls, Button folds, Hero calls, BB calls.

River: (9.50 BB) [6s] (4 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, MP1 calls, CO calls.

Final Pot: 12.50 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has Js 8s (flush, jack high).
MP1 has Ks Jc (two pair, kings and sixes).
CO has Qd Qs (two pair, queens and sixes).
Outcome: Hero wins 12.50 BB.

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with [8s], [8c].
3 folds, MP1 calls, Hero raises, 4 folds, BB calls, MP1 calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) [2c], [Jc], [8d] (3 players)
BB checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets, BB folds, MP1 calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) [Kc] (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls.

River: (6.25 BB) [Kh] (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets, MP1 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP1 calls.

Final Pot: 12.25 BB

Results in white below:

First hand, that has to be the worst played QQ ever. I might have bet the turn since I had so many outs so building the pot wouldn't be bad and you might have gotten them to fold if they actually didn't have anything.

Second hand, WTF was he calling with on the flop? He got what he deserved.

Just an out and out brutal night at Stars clearing the bonus. I ended down $146 in 543 hands at $2/4. Completely card dead, didn't get paid off much on the hands I made, and lots of hands just went horribly wrong. It was down past $200 at one point, but I finally won a couple pots towards the end (although the poker gods threw in one set over set loss just before I left).

So I ended down $7 on my play clearing the $120 bonus. Pretty fucking lame.

Back to Party, down $57. Nothing special, just couldn't seem to make my hands hold up. The best one was when I raised preflop with QQ, got called by the BB and one EP limper, flop came J72, limper bet with QJ, I raised, and the blind cold called with 76 and hit a 6 on the turn. I have no idea what these people are thinking.

Arg. Seems like it's impossible to win lately.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [Kc], [Kh].
3 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 raises, 3 folds, SB calls $1.50 (All-In), Hero 3-bets, MP1 calls, MP2 calls.

Flop: (10.25 SB) [Jh], [8d], [2c] (4 players, 1 all-in)
Hero bets, MP1 calls, MP2 folds.

Turn: (6.12 BB) [Ah] (3 players, 1 all-in)
Hero bets, MP1 calls.

River: (8.12 BB) [Qc] (3 players, 1 all-in)
Hero bets, MP1 calls.

Final Pot: 10.12 BB

Results in white below:
SB has 8c Qd (two pair, queens and eights).
Hero has Kc Kh (one pair, kings).
MP1 has Ac 3c (one pair, aces).
Outcome: MP1 wins 7.62 BB. SB wins 2.50 BB.

So I was down about $40 early on, then it swung around to up $40, and then it swung back to down $30. At this rate I can expect to be down $174 by the time I clear my $150 bonus.

Well looks like I finish the night down $300. Without a doubt, that was the most brutal session I've ever had. I didn't even tilt, just pretty much lost every big pot I played in.

Here was a nice one towards the end:

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [5s], [5h].
2 folds, MP1 raises, MP2 calls, 3 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) [5d], [Qh], [Qc] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, MP2 folds, Hero raises, MP1 3-bets, Hero caps, MP1 calls.

Turn: (7.25 BB) [Ks] (2 players)
Hero bets, MP1 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP1 caps, Hero calls.

River: (15.25 BB) [8h] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 17.25 BB

That's a shitty run. Depressing to look at.

I guess party is punishing you for playing at pokerstars huh? ;-)

Thanks Kenny. :)

Looking back on my -75BB night, it could have been a -60BB night if I'd made a few more good laydowns and didn't make one bad laydown. Still, that's a lot to be down when all the tables are good and you're up against guys like this:

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with [9c], [Jc].
UTG calls, 1 fold, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, 1 fold, MP3 calls, Hero calls, 2 folds, BB checks.

Flop: (6.50 SB) [8c], [Tc], [Ts] (6 players)
BB bets, UTG folds, UTG+2 folds, MP1 calls, MP3 raises, Hero calls, BB calls, MP1 folds.

Turn: (6.75 BB) [9s] (3 players)
BB bets, MP3 calls, Hero calls.

River: (9.75 BB) [4d] (3 players)
BB bets, MP3 raises, Hero folds, BB calls.

Final Pot: 13.75 BB

Results:
BB has Ac 9d (two pair, tens and nines).
MP3 has 4c 4h (full house, fours full of tens).
Outcome: MP3 wins 13.75 BB.
