Red - you don't understand the situation and you don't understand how the brain works. Also the pills aren't there to cure any problems, they only lessen some of the symptoms so you can better deal with your life. You have much to learn. Right now you're still in the "anxiety has nothing to do with chemical imbalance" stage.

The anxiety I experienced wasn't in response to anything external in my life. It's not easy to understand for someone who hasn't been through it themselves or know anyone who has. And the anxiety was overwhelming to the point it interfered with a lot of my daily life and I could not do anything on my own to eliminate it.

I was speaking more generally... didn't try to touch your particular problem in the least..

I still stand by what I wrote... pills suck... deal with the problem without them...

You're right.. TBH, I don't want to know what it's like and to truly understand what it's like I would have to live it or feel it, which I am not ready or willing..

Since I am not writing about THE problems and only about the drugs solving those problems or making them easier or whatever, I'll say this... Yes, we agree on the problem of overmedicating the general public, and yes, I agree that there are people that will not improve without the aid of medication.... however, I am pretty sure that those are very few (considering the sheer numbers that "need" help)..

As for you personally, I am sorry if you truly feel that you can solve your own problem only with the help of meds.. I do believe you that it is as you say it is though..

I have found out that I can solve any problem for myself if I am answering honestly to my own questions..... sometimes though, I don't want to answer them sincerely and therein lies my problem with some of the issues I have had.. But that's me, and TBH, I don't really have problems... so it's back to me not understanding.. which I concur that I don't... So I'll just shut up..
