Last Tuesday night. Not pictured: Me and my friends John and Rick, because well, I don't know how to draw people sitting on couches lol (and too lazy to figure that out).

The game was Resident Evil 4 BTW.

And after like four months of abstinence, we all smoked outside (after we finished a few beers each). Rick also took some mushrooms. I don't remember too much of the night, but it was funnnnnnnnnn

I haven't played poker in about five days. I don't think I'll ever quit poker, but I likely will never play it regularly anymore. Maybe a couple hours a week.

Since I <3 BK and all...

I am SO glad I moved back to Rochester. I've made a lot of crap decisions in my life, but coming back here wasn't one of them. At least I've learned a lot from all my bad decisions!

A little more details...

Tuesday we had our final training tests to make sure we were suitable to do our job on "the floor". I aced the tests. We all individually spoke with the trainers afterwards about what our schedule will look like and such. According to the schedule, my first overnight shift (as opposed to the training 8:30am-3pm shift) would been Friday midnight (later tonight). Yesterday I called in sick and they were fine with that. Today I slept in expecting to work the overnight shift later.

I wake up and I hear a message from my agency telling me I'm supposed to be at work today still. I quickly learn that the schedule the trainer showed me was supposed to be after I completely finish the four weeks of training.

ADT is very strict on attendance during the first four weeks of training. They usually won't even let you finish if you have one day off, but since I had been doing so well, they gave me the okay to continue. But since I was actually supposed to come in at 8:30 this morning, they are treating this as a "no call, no show" and I am now terminated.

I tried to talk with whoever in charge at ADT, but nope, they direct me to talk with my agency. Standard temp agency crap. I explain the situation to my "agent" or whatever, she tells them what happened, and like an hour later I hear back from my "agent" telling me that I am terminated.

I basically lost the job because I was sick one day, and then I misunderstood what the trainer said regarding the schedule. None of these should have lead to me losing the job, but now there's nothing I can do about it.
