alrighty then...update time.

So far this week (including today) ive played 12 hours of 6max 50NL...and ~5 hours of SNG's and a tourney. I played 4 $22 SNG's..coming in 1st, 1st, 4th and 5th. I also played a $55 regular freezeout MTT...finishing 89 out of 342...with the top 36 making the money i think.

Ive experimented with 6-tabling the last couple sessions and have had no problems. So i'll be doing that for now on...hopefully increasing my would-be profit by 150%.

Im not even gonna bother playing the satellites for the Sunday Million this week...since its a $1000 buyin. To rich for my blood. I also noticed that next weeks Sunday Million will be have 1 rebuy and addon..um, wtf??? Whats with the change? The one after that will probably be fucking omaha or something the way its going. argh.

I'll probably put in another session later today and then play ~18 hours over the weekend...putting my total hours for the week at ~30. I need to improve this....buckle down and put in my 6-8 hours a day...i dont have much time left until school goddamit!

On another note, i keep lending my friends money for poker...(they give me cash, and i transfer funds to their poker account), this is getting really annoying as i am having a hard time keeping up with my bankroll. Hopefully this journal will help in that regard. Up to this point, i believe the total amount ive transfered to be at $215. Another friend owes me $100...(non-poker related)...just putting it here so i dont forget.

I keep forgetting to update this journal at the end of the day..grr...

So yesterday was alright. Had a good afternoon session of 2.5 hours with a +$180 or so profit...played really well. Then i had an ok evening session of 1 hour with a +$5 or so profit...meant to play 2-3 hours but i had a horrible beat which costs me $90 and i was feelin the tilt comin. FUCKING U AND YOUR Q8 U FUCKING BASTARD. Anyways, if u wanna see it i posted the hand in the low content forum.

I also played a $109 MTT. I dont wanna talk about it. But i will say that i learned alot in that tourney about my play which will help me in the future. I was playing scared pretty much. I will never do that again.

I'll also be able to clear the bonus today ($120)....so that should make up for the MTT debacle.

meh.

I played a 3 hour session..making $56. I also wasted $93 in a $33R&A satellite trying to get into the $1000 PS tourney. Would of gotten a seat if it wasnt for losing my stack with AA vs KQ allin preflop.

I cleared my $120 bonus finally. It only took 20 hours of 4-6 tabling 50NL 6max. lol

A friend transfered back $50...total transfered and not replaced yet= $187. Another friend owes me $160.

Dont u love it when u dig yourself a hole early in the day and spend the whole goddamn day trying to climb out of that hole? I dont.

I had a short 90 minute session in the afternoon where i promptly lost ~2 stacks. meh. Then about an hour later i began the climb back up towards the black. I ended up playing 2 and a half hours....at the end of the day i was actually up $76. Talk about self-satisfaction...being $76 up felt extremely good. Ironically, i played better in the first session.. God i love poker.

FUCK i need to play more hours. FUCK FUCK FUCK. 4.5 hours isnt gonna cut it..bah.

I didnt play any MTT's or SNG's today...or shall i say, i didnt waste any money today.

Update for 6/29/06-

Im so fucking lazy.

I didnt play at all Tuesday or Wednesday. Tuesday night I had a game/party at my house and got so fucking messed up. It was crazy. I spent most of Wednesday just cleaning up and recovering.

So yesterday i meant to play alot..like 8-10 hours of cash games. But i ended up playing alot of SNG's and a couple MTT's because im a lazy, sad, lonely bitch.

I played 3 sets of 4 $22 SNG's....getting 3 1st, 0 2nd, and 1 3rd. Profit- $40

MTT's were a $55 freezeout..and the $10R&A $10k Guaranteed. Only used 3 rebuys and 1 addon. Couldnt get anything going in either tourney....same shit, different day. Profit- -$106

Goddamnit, maybe i should just stop playing tourneys. 'sigh'. I'll try doing cash games exclusively for now on...i dont have much hope for that though. I know me.

I replaced all the money that i lent out to friends back into my online account. So all is right in that department right now. A friend does owe me $200 however.

I actually played some poker today.

Man, it felt good too. I ended up playing over 2700 hands in a 6 hour period. (6 tabling 6max NL). Of course i was down $100 after 800 of those hands...but i battled back and left the tables with a $183.85 profit.

Hopefully this weekend i'll put in 10 more hours so my total for the week will be at 20. 'sigh'. Next week i have to stick to the plan and play at least 6 hours a day. I only have like 7 weeks until college starts....

Update for 7/1/06-

Well, i started my second session on a mission to clear the loses from the previous session. yea, didnt happen.

Started out misplaying KK and losing my stack to 56s...actually a solid play by villian. I raised 4xBB UTG..he called OTB. Flop J56 with two spades. (no spades for me). I bet out 3/4 pot. He raised 2.5x my bet. I get worried and just call. Turn is another 5. I check, he bets, i raise all in because i didnt think he had 66 or JJ, he of course calls. 56s????? damn u! thats my play!

So an hour in i was down $90 for the session and $225 for the day. Wow. This also included a 2 outer and a couple 3 outers. The 2 outer- Someone miniraises PF, i call in the SB with A8s, flop A86, he had like $25 to start, we both ended up getting all in on the flop, turn blank, river 6. He of course flips over A6. yay!

I played for another hour and a half and ended up -$122 for the day. My first real bad day in awhile. bah.

Update for 7/2/06-

I began my day by having a 2 hour session in cash games. I dont remember much about it. But i made $25.90 in profit.

Then i was like fuck it and i played the $10 R&A 10k guaranteed again. I got lucky twice in all in situations midway through the tourney...a 12 outer and A3s vs QQ all in PF. I built myself a good stack..got worn down...won a coin flip..got worn down...won another coin flip...won another coinflip and before i knew it we were down to the final two tables. (1700 people entered). I was last in chips but then got a big run of cards...saw my first JJ, TT, and AA. I was 6th in chips when i got AA....guy goes all in with JJ...and hits the J on the flop. I lose half my chips. 3 or 4 hands later i get TT...get all in vs AK and lose the race. blah.

Cant complain though...i was due for some bad luck.

Prize was $558.23..minus only $31 (one rebuy and addon) = $527.23 profit. yay!

I played a few tourneys on Monday...then on Tuesday i played 3 hours in cash games. And a satellite for the Sunday tourney. Didnt cash in any of the tourneys. Cash game profit- $186.20...tourney profit- ~ -$150.

I think i might wait until i have $3000 in my BR to make the move up to 100NL..im not sure though, i'll decide in a couple days. On second thought im not gonna do that...from what ive heard from alot of people on this site, the variance doesnt seem to be bad at $100 or even $200. And ive never had a downswing of more than 5 buyins so i doubt i'll need the extra $500 before moving up.

Of course if my BR gets down to $1500 once i move up..i'll move down and start over.

Sooooo...i should be playing 100NL in a couple days...

I meant to play 5 to 6 hours yesterday but about an hour into my session i got word of a party going on that night. So i quit up $135.60.

That was the first session where i set up and used PAHud on all the tables...ive had it, but it wouldnt work with the PS Beta software. I saw the regular PS software had resizable tables now, so i got that and set up the PAHud for it. It allowed me to stack someone within the first 10 minutes of the session....

I really hadnt been paying attention to this table...when villian raised preflop i saw that his stats were 93/49 thru 12 hands. Small sample but still shows that hes a maniac. Those stats allowed me to play this hand the way i did.

My first session at .5/1 went off without a hitch. 3 hours of 3 and 4 tabling with a profit of $306.00. The players are exactly the same...maybe a little better...but still pretty bad. I dont think i'll have any trouble at this level...even with the inevitable bad run on the horizon.

Im not sure if im gonna be able to play any tomorrow..to much shit going on..but whenever i do play again, i'll be going back to playing 6 tables. It took me about 100 hands to get used to the bet amounts.

On another note, i went to see Bill Maher at the Fox Theatre in ATL tonight...goddamn he was funny. The coolest part however was when an audience member started yelling jiberish at Maher...nobody could understand the guy.. Security had to finally drag him outta the building..haha
