Sundays, however, have been good every time, and today was no different. Had a lot of hands to play today. Didn't play any huge pots really, just some betting and others folding on flop or turn, etc. Played only 2 sessions today, both at 50NL, which got me close to break even for 50NL for the week, though very much down for the week with the 100NL stint. Stats for the day:
#1
216 hands
79.30
#2
232 hands
13.20
Wanted to play a bit of limit tonight, but too tired for that. I have to proctor an exam tomorrow afternoon but then I'm done for the semester. I should probably get back to the dissertation at some point. Maybe I'll do that while proctoring tomorrow. What the hell do I care if they cheat? I care slightly I guess. I should prolly ask if it is open note or what. Anyway, back to 2 hands.
#1: I raise OTB to $2.50 and the BB calls. I've played quite a bit with BB and he hasn't made any donkey moves, so I think he has something decent here.
Flop: KT5r ($5.25)
He checks, I bet 4, he calls
Turn: 8 (11.25)
He checks, I bet 10, he calls
River blank (31.25)
He checks, I decide I must have the best hand here with all this passivity and bet 10, which he calls, showing me AA. Sort of irked here, but really glad he didn't get aggressive as this would have cost me a lot more. Had him on QJ, KQ, or KJ and thought the latter two would pay off my value bet. Edit: I had AK.
#2: haven't finished the orbit yet, as I'm in the BB. Folds to SB who completes; I have 88 and raise it to $2.50, he thinks for a bit then reraises to $7.75. Now, I hate this sort of stuff. Harrington refers to it as BSB play, or button, small blind, big blind. Basically what happens is everyone knows this is the time to steal the ante, but since everyone knows this there is a lot of restealing that goes on, but maybe someone actually has something, no one really knows. Since the guy just limped, I think he is trying to resteal here, perhpas with an A or JT, and I really don't want to see a flop against such a hand, so I push. I hadn't rebought from the AK hand, yet, so was playing with only $30 or so. He calls and shows me AA. I suck out an 8 on the turn. If I had had a full stack here, I prolly call the reraise but with no set on the flop, unless he decides to slow play again, I'm prolly folding, so being short stacked in this spot actually gave me a nice advantage.
All in all, an okay week. Lost money, but I think I learned some things that put me in a better position to play well in the future. I picked up a $90 reload bonus, so bankroll doesn't look as bad as my results were.
Current Bankroll: $1298
