Quite an eventful long session today.

Started out with some 100PLO on stars and some mtt and played some sngs for tokens, approximate results: cashgames around -$100 after some not so good play, mtt bustout and sngs went 0 for 3. The only good thing about this pre-dinner session was that it was my turn to cook dinner so that it ended. After dinner I was all geared up to play better and to listen to my favorite team Hammarby play against local rivals DIF. Hammarby had the chance to advance to 2nd place in the league with a win which would be sweet. They didn't. In fact they were down 0 - 3 in halftime and the game got cancelled after our fans rioted, so not only did they lose but may also face a points DEDUCTION. Not so good times. To balance this crap, I played a monster post-dinner session. Played the $24+2 deepstack 6k gtd on full tilt and placed OOTM but played well, went 2 for 2 in token SnG's (I am doing rather well in those but I really have to cash in on a token soon or it will be -EV) and the cashgames went marvellous.

This hand is a nice summary for the night:

Paradise Poker
Pot Limit Omaha Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
9 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $15.15
UTG+1: $34.00
MP1: $11.50
MP2: $49.65
Hero: $115.15
CO: $166.60
Button: $28.65
SB: $42.00
BB: $77.65

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP3 with [9h] [7c] [9s] [6d]
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, Hero raises to $3, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds.

Flop: [4c] [5d] [2s] ($18.5, 6 players) Sweet. Openender and noone will ever see it coming AND he underbets it so I even get explicit odds if one guy calls behind me!
SB checks, BB bets $7, 2 folds, Hero calls, CO calls, SB folds.

Turn: [8s] ($39.5, 3 players). Yummy. Better push CO out if I can. He can easily be hangin in there with 2p or set. (I have lots of hands with CO)
BB bets $22, Hero raises all-in $105.15, CO folds, BB calls all-in $45.65.
Uncalled bets: $37.5 returned to Hero.

River: [4h] ($174.8, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $174.8)

Results:
Final pot: $174.8

Sendit.

This one was pretty good too but I missed a bet on the river (I'm still not so good at the subtleties of limit):

Full Tilt Poker
Limit Omaha Ring game
Limit: $3/$6
8 players

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is UTG with [2s] [Ad] [3d] [Js]
Hero raises, UTG+1 3-bets, 2 folds, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds, Hero caps, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, SB calls.

Flop: [Qd] [Kc] [4d] (17SB, 4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, SB calls.

Turn: [8d] (10.5BB, 4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 calls, CO folds, SB calls.

River: [8s] (13.5BB, 3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG+1 checks.

Results:
Final pot: 13.5BB
Hero showed 2s Ad 3d Js
SB mucks 3s 4s Ks Qc
UTG+1 mucks Qs 7d 2c As

Very standard maybe. Sendit anyway. Can I get more than 1 bet more here by betting the river? C/C flop C/R turn or C/R flop? Limit newbie...

I also made some not so brilliant plays. This one accounted for almost all my losses in the early part of the session. In all honesty its not THAT bad of a hand, I usually play it against a tight raiser or a field but I think it plays a _little_ bit better with some implied odds and things went a bit out of hand here....

As 9s 8d Ah 34216 16.99 165197 82.03 1963 0.97 0.175
Ad 5d 6h 5h 40969 20.34 159049 78.98 1358 0.67 0.207 <----
8s 6s 6c 4c 34165 16.97 165517 82.19 1694 0.84 0.174
Ac Jd 9d Jh 35752 17.75 164008 81.44 1616 0.80 0.182
Kc Kd 7d 7h 52964 26.30 148412 73.70 0 0.00 0.263

Like I said it obviously does well in a field and with equal stacks it would have been SLIGHTLY +ev. Still, not so smart. Enough with hands since I know you are all dying to see the results?

Hands Results
LO8 3/6 345 +$317
LO8 2/4 23 -$19
100PLO 216 -$134 (look above...)
50PLO 193 +$181

which brings my roll to around the $3.25k mark as far as I can tell.

The last session for a couple of days today. Tomorrow is dedicated to GF who seems to think I spend too much time infronta the computer. Point taken. Then I have to go to some conference thing with work (seriously -EV) so no poker until maybe saturday. So today was supposed to be great and all that crap but alas, that wasnt to be. Played 0 for 2 tokens, went out 8th in a 2 seater sat on UB and played 2 $24s on FTP with no success. I'm so much dead money in these things at the moment it's not even funny anymore. Cash games went ok at least. A couple of big ones won and some big'uns lost, notably a $60 donation of chips in a pot I should have folded on flop... oh well, unless stuff changes dramatically I'll come out ahaed at least. I'm finishing of this session with the last FTP mtt and a sat to the WCOOP razz event. I'm still alive in both, but barely. Lost a big one with a 8 lo vs a 7 just as I was typing this but went on a rush i my 3/6 and just now I went out of the razz, A28 all in preflop vs A58 but he rivered me to make his 8 vs my 9.. oh well. I'll play out the 6k gtd I'm in and keep my 3/6 game (a.k.a. the ATM game) running in which i just hit a runner runner wheel to scoop a 16BB pot. How unfair. Thought I'd be out soon but Ive managed to accumulate some chips in the FTP tourney and is at 64/110 right now. Fired up a PLO50 table on UB and within 10 hands got it all in with AAxx ss and doubled up and right after that I donk out of the tourney..IDIOT! When will I learn?
Oh well it turned out ok totally but my MTT disasters bug me like hell

hands result
LO8 3/6 234 +$90
100PLO 113 +$14.7 (A + session in 100PLO..woohooo)
50PLO 196 +$83

which swelled the BR with something like a cool $150.

Back in pokerland after a night off and a night away with work.

The work thing was fun. I got very drunk and can't remember much of what happened after 11 or so. Rumor has it that we were up till about 4am. Conference started at 9am. That part was not fun. So got home all geared up to play some killer poker and I did.
It killed me. I made what very possibly was the worst poker play I've made in 6 months which lost me a stack at PLO100. I managed to make it back on LO8 and PLO50 tho so all in all my session last night ended at -50 or so due to a £20 PLO MTT which I think I should have cashed in but went out 5th (16 entries, 3 cashed).
Goals for september:
Break even in MTT
Clear 2*$100 worth of Crypto bonus
Find another $100 bonus to clear
Build Broll to 5.5k
have a winning month at PLO100

Now Im gonna fire up some tables. Later

The saturday monster session is coming to an end. This has been the longest and most swingy session I have ever played. I was mainly playing PLO100 on crypto to work off the first bonus there which I just finished. I oscillated wildly (to use the old Smiths song title) between +1 and -2.5 buyins and was playing decent, but not perfect in anyway. I felt like I hit very few flops but that might be imagination, all PT stats look normal. %WSD a bit low maybe. Then just before I'm finsihed with the bonus this hand turns the session into a winning one:

Cryptologic
Pot Limit Omaha Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1
10 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $21.75
UTG+1: $82
UTG+2: $77.75
MP1: $104
MP2: $85.50
MP3: $183.25
CO: $90.50
Hero: $186.25
SB: $21.75
BB: $97.75

Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is Button with [9s] [8c] [Ts] [7d]
5 folds, MP3 calls, CO calls, Hero raises to $5.5, SB calls, BB folds, MP3 calls, CO calls.

Flop: [4c] [3s] [7s] ($23, 4 players)
SB bets $2, MP3 calls, CO raises to $7, Hero calls, SB calls, MP3 calls.

Turn: [9h] ($51, 4 players)
SB checks, MP3 checks, CO checks, Hero bets $51, SB calls all-in $9.25, MP3 calls, CO folds.

River: [7h] ($162.25, 2 players + 1 all-in - Main pot: $78.75, Sidepot 1: $83.5)
MP3 is all-in $119.75, Hero calls.

Results:
Final pot: $401.75
MP3 shows 8d 3h 7c Td
Hero shows 9s 8c Ts 7d
SB shows As 5d Ac 4s

I needed that bit of lovin'.

BR growth $178

Hands Result
LO8 5/10 94 +$59
LO8 3/6 89 -$113
LO8 2/4 182 +$80.25
200PLO 35 +$108.6
100PLO 872 +$78.23
50PLO 250 -$64.25 (went all in against a maniac with a $140 stack and lost
cuz he actually had a very nice hand that time)

All in all I'm satisfied with play but there is so much I could improve and I feel I'm sorta stuck in my "evolution" as a player.

Sunday session is at an end and it was a nice one. Since Interpoker changed their rules I decided to work off that bonus playing 1/2 stud, which isn't my best game but today I played rather well and had some good cards. Since IP haven't implemented a way to tell how many raked hands you have played I'm not sure if I managed 500 today but it should be in that region I think. Also played a little 50PLO on UB and some LO8 with good results. On the other side I'm a mind boggling 0 for 8 in token SnG's in september. I also played a $10 PLO MTT and busted out in 24th after a failed steal crippled me.

Hands Result
LO8 3/6 310 +$79.50
LO8 2/4 81 -$38.75
50PLO 172 +$94.70
7CS 1/2 ~500? +$199.50

So the BR now stands at a record high $3819.

Palo Alot, CA? If so, they are moving to a nice area, the Bay Area. I've lived here my whole life and it's a good place to live.

Wish I could gut out the bonuses like you.

Quick update since I'm at work. Yesterday I went to the gym for the first time in 15 years or so. We have this deal at work that we get 6 months at the local gym for $50 so I thought that was to good to pass up. I'm having some troubles typing today as I can't extend my arms properly. Got in a short session after work yesterday that ended up $130 and I have managed to do 1/3 of the classic bonus, not as much as I hoped for but I haven't been able to log as many hours as I wanted. Working full time, playing poker half time and trying to have a life with GF isn't easy. I need a couple more hours / day to make it work.

Off to work!

Bought a 20,1" 1600*1200 monitor today. I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. 2 monitors is the nuts for sure. That's good too, since I haven't seen many nuts at the tables today. Played some decent poker I think but had a 65-35 all in for a full stack on the flop go the wrong way and a set or two rudely outdrawn by the flushchasers which turned this into a losing session by a 150 or so (unless you count the monitor...)

Still, nothing to bad, thought I played pretty well but those are the breaks but alas just as I was typing this I managed to stack off again on a so so draw. Fortunately some RB popped in today which should soften the blow some:

BR change: -$140

Tomorrow I'm going to some party but saturday is dedicated to poker.

Saturday session update:

Since I had such a successful friday, I donked aawy a couple hundred on some SnG/MTT play. I was kinda tired all day and didn't really have the patience to play MTT but ofcourse I did so anyway, so now that breakeven goal is looking grim indeed. I managed to win 1/1 HU HORSE for $20 against the strangest player I ever played against. He was very aggro during HE/O8, but he bet 2 streets during razz/7CS/7CS8 combined so that wasnt a very hard match to win. I also won a $75 token on FTP that I'll try to put to good use, the 15k gtd DS looks good but since it runs at a quite awkward time I'll have to wait till next weekend I think. In the first hours of the session I found this incredibly, unbelievably juicy LO8 5/10 game, but I was completely card dead and hit no draws whatsoever so I ended stuck for around $200 in that game but I'll keep my eyes open for it. I then played my usual mix of games during the day and this was how it ended:

Game Hands Results
LO8 5/10 201 +$82.25 (I found another juicy one and hit some cards)
LO8 3/6 55 +$72.50
LO8 2/4 212 -$17.00
50PLO 251 +$154.3

If I run decent today I'll pass the 5k mark which will be a first. Tonight will be soccer, football and poker as both Hammarby and Patriots have games...wheee what a night!

Time to finish that 'dise reload and hit the tables.
