One of the reasons I hate omaha ( you gotta love it ) People don't know what they are playing.

I will be cheering you on in the $530.

Played a couple of hours last night and ended down around $25 or so in cash games after blowing 1 stack at PLO100, won a little at 200 and almost breakeven at 50 after a bad start. The hand that I got stacked on in the 100's was pretty interesting and I'd post it if I had the HH which I don't since I'm at work. Work btw is seriously +EV atm considering how bad I'm running. Also played some MTT's, the £3k gtd on crypto where I finished ITM after losing most of my stack on a very interesting hand where I was in the bb. Also played 2 $10 PLO MTT's to get into the groove for friday. FT'd one where I went out in 6th with AAxx ss after flopping overpair+ISD+NFD vs this guy who flopped top 2 with his 4 random cards. That was the end of that. The other one I finished OOTM in but played well. Things felt good and I think I will do decent in the $530 on friday if I stick to some basic sound play principles even though I expect the competition to be "slightly" better. All in all it ended as a break-even session.

Yet another pretty uneventful session thursday night (up $150 or some such). Some good plays, some not so good. I've identified some minor-not so minor leaks. I play a little bit to loose against pre-flop raisers with "liberal" raising hand selection and make some flop calls that are just a bit too loose. If I just can fix this (shouldn't be too hard) I should do a bit better. I'm pretty sure I can identify the reason I make these mistakes tho. If I start off a session bad, I get the urge to make up for it in one quick score which leads me into big pots with less than premium holdings. Solution is obviously: Don't start session bad. I'm halfway through Rolf's book and it is good so far. A bit dissapointed that he included his old articles since I read most of them already but I suppose it could be good to have them easily accesible since opening a bookmark is such a pain in the ass. Pretty crappy, Rolf. But the new content is good to very good imo. Gotta run, work calls.

Last two sessions after the WCOOP PLO went pretty well and netted me a grand or so. Time to post the september summary:

Goals for september:

BR $5.5k: I managed to make this goal due to my amazing comeback last night and today (sept. 30th). Result: $5.83k

Break even in MTT's: Nope. -$275 for a ROI of -11,8%

Clear $300 in bonus: Done. Due to stars and paradise and UB reloads I managed to clear $709.80 in bonus. Very pleased with that one

Have a winning month at PLO100: Failed. I didn't play very much PLO100, 2,5k hands for a result of -$289.

September results:

Bonus:+$709
RB: approx +$500 (not yet credited or included in BR)
MTT/STT: -$275
Omaha cash games: +$1597
Other cash games (HE/7CS/HORSE): +$502

for a total profit for the month of around $3k.

The mandatory graph:

I learned a few things as well, not to move up in levels too fast and to work on my mental state during a downswing. The one I had this month was greatly enhanced due to tilt and playing higher to make it back. Not good. Hopefully I won't do the same mistakes next time. I'll try to write more in this journal as well and post more hands. I'm sure it'll be more interesting to read that way. Well enough with poker for september, tonite I'm going out with a friend I haven't met in quite some time. It'll be great fun.

The first october session is in the books and it was a good one, play and results-wise. Started working on the Interpoker bonus and played some at UB. Managed 694 hand of PLO200, LO8 1/2, 2/4 and 2/4 half-kill for a cool $403. Played well in plo200, didn't get involved in too many big pots, stole a couple small ones and had the goods/got lucky when I commited. Got sucked out on once as well. Also played the BTP LHE tourney and bubbled (4th) and a £2k gtd on crypto where I just made ITM (10th for £40).

Heres the biggest net win of the session, the turn call might look a bit fishy but I guesstimated around 33% equity worst case for +-0 EV and it turns out I had like 37%

Cryptologic
Pot Limit Omaha Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
10 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $486.26
UTG+1: $340.75
UTG+2: $162
MP1: $340.25
MP2: $190.91
MP3: $52
CO: $214.50
Hero: $162
SB: $259.13
BB: $212.25

Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is Button with [Tc] [Qc] [Jc] [Ts]
UTG calls, UTG+1 raises to $9, 5 folds, Hero calls, 2 folds, UTG raises to $41, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls.

Flop: [8h] [5d] [Js] ($126, 3 players)
UTG bets $120, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls.

Turn: [9d] ($366, 2 players)
UTG is all-in $327.26, Hero calls all-in $3.
Uncalled bets: $324.26 returned to UTG.

River: [Qh] ($372, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $372)

Results:
Final pot: $372

This one was fun as well:

http://www.pokerhand.org/?536156

Biggest losing pot was a net of -$80 where I isolate-reraised a loose raiser (16% PFR) with KKxx ss. Isolation worked but of course he had AAxx that time.

Gonna try to set some goals for october soon.

The cycle of poker goes on...

After clearing the interpoker bonus I quickly moved on to Sun. Played a small (~250 hands) session of PLO200 on sun mixed with some LO8 2/4 and 3/6 on UB and FTP. I usually play at least one table of LO8 on UB to keep chipping away at that bonus and the LO8 game on FTP is usually to good to ignore. Also played 2 MTT's but sucked in those. One a huge pot at the PLO200 game with TP + crap FD vs AA and lost a stack with some idiotic play. I'm pretty sure I can beat these games in the long run but I really have to be more focused or they'll kill me. All in all a decent session which ended at +$193.
