Yes, kudos from another uninvested lurker. Keep us posted on the next project and when you'll be at the tables so we can observe.

Ice,

Good job on managing a nearly break-even with some bad luck in there.

Also, I imagine not many people can appreciate this, but I know how difficult it can be to not only move up a level, but also document for the world to see/criticize your failures. Whew, that's some pressure there. All things considered, not bad!

I have to be thinking that a lot of the stakers are now PMing him back saying that they don't want their money back and they want him to keep playing. If he can take an incredibly crappy run of cards like he had and still lbe even, the upside potential has to be REALLY high.

just my 2 cents

The main reason is that I like playing at Prima the most, but their $2/$4 is the hardest game Ive played, bar none. The $5/$10 at Prima is significantly easier than the $2/$4.

I have played quite a bit of $2/$4 at Party and done pretty well. I was trying to play it, while playing $5/$10 to make sure I have 3 tables going, but I didn tlike it. I was overplaying my $2/$4 hands because the bet amounts seemed small and I didnt give them enough respect.

These are all ideas that Im looking into though and trying to figure out what game to settle into next.

Kuso, a couple stakers did say they really didnt want their money back. I dont know why these lousy runs of cards always seem to hit when you least want them to. If I didnt have as much experience as I do, I would be convinced that I cant cut it at 5/10 after playing break even for a week. I think I may well have played the best poker of my life this past week.
I was reraising with T9s,
Limp reraising from UTG with 55.
I limped with AK...called a raise from a weak tight rock. Check raised the flop with nothing and pounded the turn hard and took the pot away from her.

I believe I made 2 obvious mistakes all week. One I posted already and the other I raised the flop with a str8 draw and flush draw, but the raise got cold called by the SB. The board then paired and I called his turn lead. That was a mistek because he may have had a set that turned into a boat and I may have been drawng dead. That cost me $100. The 2 mistakes cost me about $450 but out of over 400 hands, I was very happy with that.

The last stack I lost, I raised with AK and the flop was AK6. I bet the flop and got raised. I pushed in. Im still not sure about this one. He had 66. I think I maybe shouldve check raised the turn all in instead. That way I still get stacked if he has 66, but if he has AQ, he'll probably fold to either the flop all in OR the turn all in , but I get more out of him by waiting. I dont think I can fold that one with top 2, but maybe I shouldve.

Some words from another lurker. This thing is propably the most pathetic thing i`ve ever seen; one wanna-be high stakes player and few days with just some normal variation and then the end. God bless you all, you make my financial life easy, thanks.

Iceman, you talk to talk, is that all you can do? Although it seems to be standard in this forum. Another funny thing is, these fellow livepokerforumters seems to believe in you although you are just a nut-peddler, not a poker PLAYER. Sorry to tell the truth.

I hate to buy into this type of BS but I'll be glad to back ice against a lurker for 50% of his profits. So, ice - if you can lure one out and don't mind giving up half your profits, lemme know. ;)

Hi there Fimbul. Im not quitting playing $5/$10. Im just cancelling the project because I am confident enought that I can beat the game that I dont need the stakers to reduce my risk. I ended the thing now because I was almost exactly even and it seemd like a good time to do it.

Unlike most forums, we dont flame each other here. Its of no use to anyone. Youre welcome to your opnion, but if you continue to waste the bandwidth that Im paying for, you will be banned.

I'm not feeling as tolerant as ice.. I've banned kreator (for his delivery, not his opinion) and also turned on an option in the board such that new members have to supply a valid email address and click a validation link that we send to them, so people who re-register in order to flame (which may or may not be the case here) at least have to go through the arduous task of setting up another free email account.

Apparently the poker gods REALLY dont want me to play $5/$10.

Today I had QQ.....final board J557Q....other guy had 55

How many times can I run into this stuff in the first 10 days of a new level?

Screw you poker gods...Im still winning despite everything youre throwing at me. You'll get tired and give up before I do.

Current win rate is still 3.4 BB / 100 hands even with this horrendous luck.

Everyone looks to results to determine how good they are. When you move to a new level, you instinctly will doubt yourself and second guess if youre good enough or not. So when this kind of bad luck run hits, just as you start the new level, it makes it twice as hard to make a realistic evaluation of your play. I still believe Im playing very well.
