I concur, just cause I'm a dick... But, I raise like 0% PF, especially in a game where EVERYONES gonna just come along anyway... In that case, it's prolly better to be raising your big draw hands (JT98ss, AKsJTs) than your big pair hands...

Try PLO.....

MVP!, The AQ call did NOT suck! Maybe the turn allin afterwards, but NOT the call!!!!!
Or did you mean the guy who lost's call? :P Cuz, yeah, that did suck.

AAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLRRRRRRRRRRRRRIGHTY THEN!

Let's get to it. Played all kinds of stuff today trying to find something that would work. In the end, the only thing that really did work (or I was at least lucky at) was a game I had said I wasn't going to play anymore. So much for that. When I saw MVP sitting there at that NL100 FR table at Doyle's, well, I just had to sit in and watch his handiwork. I will say this people, for all his BS, he is pretty good. I saw him take his 100 buyin up to 160+ in the short time I was there. So here's a "Well Done Laddy" to you MVP. I think between the 2 of us we had most of the table scared. I just wish they actually had a reason to be scared of me!

Daily Stats:

Paradise Poker 1/2 Limit 5max, 40 hands, 17 minutes, $4.25

Pokerstars .05/.10 Omaha H/L, 10 hands, 12 minutes, $0.81
Pokerstars .10/.20 Omaha H/L, 40 hands, 44 minutes, $1.05
Pokerstars .01/.02 PLO8, 19 hands, 35 minutes, $5.40
Pokerstars .02/.05 PLO8, 93 hands, 121 minutes, -$1.63

BetFreds $1 +.10 NL MTT with rebuys and addon, 80 hands, 80 minutes, -$7.10 - Man I lost with all kinds of good hands that should have held up at least once or twice! Oh well, it was fairly cheap fun.

Doyles Room .10/.20 PLO, 47 hands, 56 minutes, $5.04
Doyles Room .05/.10 PLO, 17 hands, 21 minutes, $2.86
Doyles Room .50/1 Limit 6max, 15 hands, 12 minutes, $19.25
Doyles Room NL100, 88 hands, 85 minutes, $85.99 - Oh Yeah, I'm Good!

Staff Poker 1/2 Limit 6max, 29 hands, 7 minutes, -$48.18 - Mostly 2 & 3 handed against these bastards who raised EVERY GAWDAMN HAND!!!!! I quit after losing 40€
Staff Poker .10/.20 PLO, 20 hands, 20 minutes, -$12.04

RB: $31.48 - WOOHOO!!!! I finally got a rake back payment! This was from Will Hill. They changed to where they put it directly into your account instead of letting your affilliate screw you over!

Bonus: 0

Bonus Progress:

Earned a measely 12 VIP's in my short losing time at Staff today. Total, 492 out of 750

Earned 547 AP's at Doyles Room. 10774 out of 13500 now.

Ok then, I tried another 2 hour session of NL100 FR playing the way MVP does and in fact made another $28 (I'm sure the rest of you successful NL players probably play semi-similar to him but he was the one who coached me through the session so I'm giving him the cred). I will most certainly take the $14 per hour after the last month and a half I have been through!

Very boring way to play though. Will most definitely have to get to where I am playing at least 2 if not more tables at the same time on a regular basis unless I am chatting. But I aint giving up on the Limit Poker yet either as I already know pretty much how to play that game, I just need to start winning at it again. I did so well the last 4 months of 2005 and most of January this year playing limit, this downswing has just been very frustrating. But at least now I know how to scratch out a few bucks (fairly safely) at NL100. At least at Doyles Room anyway. MVP started playing at the table I was playing at while we were chatting ( NO, there was NO collusion going on) and he actually got to have KK when a guy goes allin preflop with K3o!!!! Needless to say MVP made a nice little chunk on that hand!
I had a hand where I had KQs and the board was K844K, I got allin against a guy with KJo and thought I had won a $200 pot until I realised that we were splitting it! SHIT! WHY oh WHY did I have to hit the boat?!!!! LOL, how many times will you hear folks say that? Well, actually I've said it a few times playing limit after my boat ran into quads 3 days in a row!!!!

I did my good deed for the day and got it out of the way early too, by getting MVP up and running with PT being able to import Tribeca tables now. That particular one can be a real bitch to get working! But at least now I don't have to look for any good deeds to do the rest of the day!

P.s. If anyone wants to pitch in to buy MVP a microphone for his computer so he can do voice chat like the rest of us "Real Men Don't Type" types, let me know and I will accept all the funds and buy the mic for him. Seems he's too poor to get his own.

It took 20 minutes or more for my heart to slow down after this one! I went apeshit when I saw it all slide my way. Not only had I never won a pot this size before, I had never even witnessed a pot this size at a table that I was sitting at! This was NL100 at Doyles Room.

Ok then, not much to report after the above post. One thing of importance to me though is that I have now gone back into the black for the year! Actually did that yesterday but this really solidifies it I hope.

I really do need to give MVP a HUGE thanks for setting me straight on basic NL play. Always nice to have a coach. So here's to you MVP.

Since he started helping me, which BTW it sounds like he doesn't want to do anymore :( , I have made a profit of $347.01 ($166 from that one hand alone) and am making 26.21BB/100. Now granted thats only over 662 hands of NL100 FR but even so, thats much better than I had been doing in February! I'm only playing 12.69 VP$IP so far so I do hope to loosen up a little bit in the coming days & weeks but not too much. And playing that few hands has allowed me to start playing more tables. Today I played 2 at a time when I played, and I think thats going to grow to 3 at a time real soon.

Todays Stats:

Doyles Room NL100, 129 hands, 127 minutes, $28.00
Doyles Room NL100, 45 hands, 39 minutes, $10.25
Doyles Room NL100, 124 hands, 151 minutes, $16.25
Doyles Room NL100, 124 hands, 115 minutes, $6.25
Doyles Room NL100, 100 hands, 111 minutes, $11.50
Doyles Room NL100, 54 hands, 59 minutes, $200.02

RB: 0
Bonus: 0

Bonus Progress:

Earned 1922 Action Points at Doyles to bring my total to 12696 out of the 13500 needed! Almost finished with that one!

Ok, lotta poker played today so I aint gonna go into too much detail. Played with Piers and MVP both at Doyles at different times of the day. Of the 3 of us, MVP definitely had the best time of it. Piers got raped every which way fom sunday by this one particular SLAG that rivered him so many times it would have been comical if it hadn't been done to someone I know. Other than that dude, Piers kicked ass. I didn't know he was such a good NL player before this. Just too bad that SLAG kept taking everything he was winning from every one else.

I pretty lost a bit at Doyles for the day but did clear enough action points to finally cleared that bonus and finish up for the day there.

MVP won about $50 at Doyles til the tables got too tight to have any fun on. So we went on over to Paradise where I cleaned up! MVP caught a couple nice ones there at the end after I left and may have actually beat me at Paradise. But either way, between winnings and bonuses and RB today, I came in just barely shy of $300 for the day. Sure as hell can't complain about that!

Daily Stats

Full Tilt $10 +1 NL S&G 6 seater, 63 hands, 41 minutes, -$11.00 bubbled out in 3rd dammit

Pokerstars NL100, 18 hands, 25 minutes, -$7.50 - PS server kept cutting out and I never got to do anything but pay blinds so I left.

Doyles Room NL100, 870 hands, 809 minutes, -91.12 - combined stats for 9 sessions at Doyles. 2, 3, and 4 tabled the whole time there pretty much.

Paradise Poker NL100, 149 hands, 168 minutes, $256.35

RB: $8.00 from Full Tilt. Not positive it was rake back but couldn't figure out why else my account had $8 extra dollars in it from yesterday.

Bonus: $145.00

Bonus Progress:

Finished off the Doyles Room $135 bonus finally.

Finished the last $10 bonus at Paradise.

Piers kicked ass. I didn't know he was such a good NL player before this

I remember playing in an SNG with Piers ages ago - I haven't ever played with Kenny G. but from my experience of his play Piers of one of the site regulars I'd most go out of my way to avoid if I was trying to play a +EV table - he might not play the same stakes as Ice and Droqqa, but he is still a pro after all

Didn't hardly play much at all today. But at least still came out on top in the win/loss columns.

Somethings getting really kinda weird with my Will Hill account. First they changed the way they do rakeback, they deposit it straight into your account now instead of going through your affiliate. So they put like $38.41 into my account on March 3rd, then tonight, March 6th, I open it up again and theres another $28.98 that I have no idea where it came from. I know I wasn't supposed to get that much RB! I'm think since I finished off the March bonus tonight, I may just withdraw everything from that site in case they decide they made a mistake. The way the Cryptos have been changing their bonus requirements, I'm not sure I'll be playing there next month anyway. I always run hot or cold at those sites anyway. It's never consistent it seems like.

Was winning there at Will Hill tonight til some "mizor" (I think I used that term right) popped me for all my well earned profit +$10 with K2 against my QJ TPw/ decent kicker just before I finished the bonus and quit. And it wasn't his K that did it either. Damned idiot. Oh well, bonus plus mystery funds still beat out the small loss in play.

Since I finished off Doyles and cashed out yesterday, I signed up with a new Tribeca site tonight. BosPoker.com. It's a virtual twin on Doyles Room and of course shares the same crappy players. Plus it had a better (quicker) bonus than Victor Chandler or Golden Palace. Will deposit and start work on it tomorrow.

Todays stats:

Will Hill NL100 FR, 121 hands, 119 minutes, -$12.00 But for one hand this was a nice winning session.

RB: $28.98 (not sure if it is or not though)
Bonus: $17.47

Bonus Progress:

Finished up Will Hill 5 Hr Monthly 25
