It's always better to quit on the
Up
Started out on Tribeca tonight and made a little money there again for once. Emphasis on little though. Then went to PokerRoom and ran QQ into KK for a full stack loss then blinded away another $30+ waiting on a comeback hand that never materialized.
Then, down big for the day again, dejected and pissed about my 3rd losing day in a row, and questioning why I even bother playing this game when it's obvious that I have no clue what I'm doing, I decided to load up my old friend Paradise Poker and see what I could muster in a last ditch effort before bed. I sat down at just one table and who was on my left but "Allstar", who was of course ignoring me and then leaving an orbit later even though I did say hi. Probably best he did though because even though he NEVER loses (jinx, jinx, jinx!!!
), I was gonna put a hurtin' on him!
The following hand is why I now realise why
YOU "DO" BET YOUR DRAWS and why
YOU "DON'T" SLOW PLAY SETS ON THE FLOP and
YOU "DON'T" MINRAISE THE TURN!!! Now, after saying that with authority, let me just say that thankfully, this time at least, I was the one with the draw!

You guys who are good at NL can correct me on this if I'm way off but in this hand I particularly liked my turn call after he minraised me because it really made my pot bet (well almost pot anyways) on the river look like I had only 2 pair or worse begging for a raise from a better hand, which is what I got. Even if I'm wrong about it, it sure seemed like exactly that in the heat of the moment.
Anyway, that session put me back up for the night overall again so I called it quits before I could swing back down.
