Quick Update

Hey All,

Didnt get a hell of a lot of poker in last night just one measly hour. Still playing at the 1/2 FHE tables and well i started off losing a buy in when i invested a lot in my trip 9's with a 10 kicker and was beaten by trip 9's with a J kicker ouch!

I started thinking here oh well this must be the downturn ive been waiting for. I moved to another table and 20 minutes later i had made my money back plus a little bit more.

Roll is now over $1100 planning a big session tonight!

Also when u guys think that i should make a move to 2/4? im comfortable where i am now i was thinking maybe $1300 roll and ill move?

Hey All,

Well i had a weekend away this weekend so i had not played poker in about 2-3 days and i was craving when i got home to get back to the tables!

Jumped on and quickly proceeded to play a mixture of mainly 1/2 and 2/4 over the course of about 4 hours!

Well the cold cards hit me plus my play was pretty crappy, i was still feeling a bit seedy from the weekend and well i made some dumb plays. Im sad to report that this is the end of the winning streak which was about a week or so and i knew it couldnt go forever.

Anyways at one point i was down probably $100 or so last night then got it back to a loss of around $50

Its not all bad though considering it was a crazy week with heaps of cash coming my way as well as that Royal Bonus last weekend.

Last check bankroll sitting at $1185.00 and im hoping to get a quick session in tonight.

Just an Update

Well played a few hours last night and ive gotta say ive lost a lot of confidence in my game since my streak of last week. I seem to be getting sucked out spat on and then hurled into the gutter each time i have a good hand. At first last night i mixed it up with 2 tables of 1/2 one 6 max the other a full table and well for an hour i stayed around even until a few bad beats hit me. Proceeded to lose around $45 on the 1/2 tables then i said Fuk it one buy-in at the 2/4 6 max LHE

Well i stayed around 20 minutes and booked a win on the tables of $100. Dunno what it was good hands i guess and some luck my way. One hand i had AQs and flop came 6QQ the guy to my right had Q2 and was pretty sure his Q would cut it he threw in a few raises which i reraised and of unfortunately for him....fraid not biatch!
In any case i made back my cash from last night and tonight however im still not happy with my gameplay and ive been making a few tilty errors. Also played a 5.50 SNG and took down second. Does anyone else find the play a bit more solid at the 2/4 tables than 1/2? i lost a lot of hands where i raised a pot with say AK and people would call with K5
and he would hit his 5. ARghh well gotta get back to my normal job sigh!

Didnt get alot of time to play last night, went out with the girlfriend and got home around 11ish, making it kinda hard with work the next day. Still logged on though and got a quick hour or so session in that was just a real annoying one i guess. I hit a 2/4 table and proceeded to play quite stupidly for 30 minutes and lose $50 then bought in again and won it all back. It seems to be a theme of the week thus far and i might change it up a bit and hit the SNGs for a bit if it keeps up. I guess a week of even stevens is better than a losing week!

Well i got back into it again today a 4 hour session where i played ring games on AP and Sngs on stars.

Results for stars were bad 3 SNGS played

2 x 4th
1 x 5th

-$16.50

The last one got me quite angry when we were down to the last 4 and the person UTG raised maybe 4 x the BB i was slight chip leader and found myself with KK i put her all in and she shows JJ she spikes a Jack on the turn and im left to go out in 4th. No real suprise Pokerstars does that to you sometimes.

The Ring games on AP went a little better i managed to actually make some money!
i played 3 full ring tables of .5/$1 this is pretty low for my bankroll however i just needed to get some confidence back and well i was happy clearing bonuses while trying any big moves or bluffs.

End up result +55 including about $20 of bonus so not a bad result there. I was happy with my play and considering i lost to massive pots when i had AA it wasnt a bad result
One arsehole beat me with AK against my AA K on the turn and K on the river (i mean seriously)

Hey Stu,

Good to see an Aussie out here. My ex is from Tumbrumba in NSW. Well anyway, I would not move up a level until u have atleast 300BB. I like to er on the side of caution and wait for 400BB. Same as in NL instead of the 20-25 buy ins I like 30-35. But that is just me. It looks like u have a good game, so don't rush into a higher level. Even though, I think ucould do very well there. I would add an extra hundred BB's just for variance sake!! What do u think??

Yeah well ive played as high as 2/4 and 3/6 LHE before however ive decided that for now im happy at .5/$1 or at the most 1/2

My roll was around $1250 or so at its highest point and last week i had some real bad luck on the 6-max tables on 2/4 and 3/6 that i would like to forget about.

Put it this way on the site i was playing on i had around $250 or so deposited there and that got down to as low as $30 before i started building it back up from lower levels. I guess it was just felt rather than depositing more and losing it i wanted just for my own confidence to get back to where i was playing low limits. More of a challenge i guess. I remember earlier on in my journal Xaston said something about developing a full ring strategy before really playing 6-max religiously and so thats what im doing.

My play on the full ring tables my last few sessions has been quite good and hopefully i can keep it going. Once i get back to where i was ill go the 1/2 or 2/4 full ring tables which i think i am really starting to enjoy as you can still clear bonus and wait for a good hand to hit you and the blinds dont eat you up. Just my .02 though!

Things are looking ok again with another big performance planned in 4 tonight. Roll is around $1150 or so give or take a few bucks.

Had a 5 hour stint last night on Pokerstars and AP

PLayed another 3 sngs $5.50 on pokerstars and the results are better than the other day

1 x 2nd
1 x 4th

So made a profit out of that one! The 4th i got dc as well so i wasnt impressed but ah well at least i wasnt in some massive pot in a ring game. And i was the small stack so meh.

Played some ring games on AP as well mainly 1/2 full-ring and a little bit of 1/2 6-Max
I walked away from those with another $50 in profit so not a bad night all round

Havent worked out my roll yet but i'd be up over $1200 again keep yez updated!

Quite Content

Well things started off shocking last night. I couldnt get a seat on a full ring table and as i so often do figured hey why not sit at a 6-max table and wait for my seat on the full ring.
Well i got slaughtered....mainly bad beats that then tilted me into some bad play and all of a sudden i was down around $40 before i had even got my seat at the other table. Then to top it off in my stupidity i sat down at a 2/4 table 6-max and lost another $40

The good news is that i went and got a meal came back composed and 2-tabled the full ring 1/2 tables. I sat there and told myself im not leaving until i get my money back and i didnt. Ended up leaving the cash games +$15

Usually a night like this kills me and i end up losing a whole lotta cash but i came back which i was very happy with

Also played a $10 Sng where it was extremely tight. My first big move was when there were 6 players left and i had AKs i raised about 5x BB from MP and had one caller. Flop came KK9 and i thought i would throw out a min raise to see if he will go for it and he reraised for about 1/2 his stack. I called him all in and sure enough he had K9....The only fricken hand that could beat me....no aces on the turn or river and im out meh!

Booked a solid $50 loss last night!

Just really lame it was almost like a deja vu of the previous night except this time i made my comeback again then was up around $20-30 and then went on a losing streak.

I think i need something different but im not sure where to go. AP has the best bonus anywhere with the clearing $10 per 100 raked hands plus also the rebate you receive.

THe only problem with this is that the site is full of either

a) moderately good players
b) bonus whores
c) the occassional fish who sucks out on you

Now i need to know where could i go where i can still make a bit from bonus and start making some money.

At the moment my roll has been up and down around 1100-1200 for 2 weeks and it aint moving i need to make some progress here.

Current thoughts are either playing some more SNGS at stars or trying Bodog or Party to see if i can make some moola!
