Still no good! bad streak of death continues!

Hehe a bit over the top for a heading but alas i am yet to book any sort of win. Now down $300 for the month its time to really knuckle down. From now on no more goals of uber profits in little time this is a game of progression, eg not a get rich quick scheme. I must try and tell myself again that im not working here im gambling and money can be lost in the blink of an eye if im not careful.

Anyways im gonna be as solid as a rock from now on. God Damn this has been going for a couple of weeks now

Problem solved!

Well finally some good news to report in here as the last couple of weeks has been my worst streak since starting poker.

I 2-tabled some 2/4 tables last night short handed for around 2 hours and came away at the end up $60. It was the first time in a long time that i had actually really enjoyed playing and even when the occassional suckout happened, and beleive me some where just downright nasty (some guy capped the betting with 2,7 offsuit PF)
i still was just well composed and just sort of thought to myself ah well shit happens. The best part was some of the plays i made i was so proud of. There was two occassions where i really thought out what my opponent had done and had to think long and hard about my decisions i called one guy down who had AJ and was betting into me and i had AQ, we both didnt hit the flop/turn/river but i could tell from his betting patterns he had not hit anything,

The main thing is though i was enjoying myself again and that was the whole reason i play poker its a fun game and makes u think and im just gonna get back to some basics. Ive been treating it like a job lately and well if i dont play long draining sessions and just enjoy this great game oi figure the results will come.

well, a bit disappointing last night, well better than a loss i spose but last night i took to the tables with my same confidence and gut instincts as the day before. And within a couple of hours found myself up around $60 due to some really good calls & plays.
I took a break and was going to call it a night but when i got back i decided why not have another grind.....big mistake

Total Profit for the evening $3.80....it actually could have been a loss to but luckily got my cash back right before calling it a day. Still could have really made some big strides to overturning my loss for the month there. AH well theres always tonight!!!

A new beginning!

Hey peoples.

Well i ran really bad over the early parts of the weekend and ive decided im gonna make a change. Im taking cash out of my roll to throw onto my mortgage in real life. Im gonna leave $200 or so for cash games and another $50 to play with in SNGS. If i bust with this cash then that will be it.

I just feel that i was playing so well to work my roll up to its highest point and since then ive capitulated. I love the game of poker but once it got to those higher limits i found myself trying to force wins out when deep down i know that i cant possibly win every night. Back in the .5/$1 days and $1/$2 i was more about just playing my game and i was seeing results, now its like i cant deal with the suckouts, and just the different style of play at higher limits. Im gonna play like a rock and hopefully before long ill work it up again to what the roll was. I learnt alot from going through the limits up to as high as 2/4 &3/6 and i feel this will only enhance my game by going through it one more time.

Anyways will keep everyone updated still on how things are going whatever happens at least i can say i made 1K or so out of poker so im happy with that

first sesson back at the 1/2 tables

First night back at the tables and well managed to book a win of around $25 plus $10 bonus. Its gonna be slow and theres gonna be alot of grinding but i wanna win at this game and win i shall!

I still havent withdrawn the remainder of my roll yet as im trying to way up whether i should keep it there just to use to get more bonus by depositing and then chucking it back into neteller.

Anyways with the poker well got paid off with my KK and QQ which got me up for the night. I went into a 3 way capped pot with AQs and dropped it when 3 under cards came on the flop and the pot was reraised before getting to me. The next card was a Q and the other guys had JJ and 1010 which was kinda frustrating.

Either way im happy that a booked a small win and i want to get back to the stage where these sort of $20-25 dollar wins per night become the norm again.

Consistency?

Hey Dejavu from yesterday but played the 1/2 tables again and once again made around $30 or so. Im definetely staying here for the time being i feel way more confident to pull different moves when not so much money is at stake. There were a few MK moves where i raised 67s UTG and flopped the goods and another big hand where i flopped a set of 3's with a flush draw still on the board. THe turn was a 3 giving me quads and i slowplayed my way into a massive pot.

In any case could have/should have won more but hey this is better than losing. Roll is up to $1260 when it was at one point nearly a sole 1k....ah well im back in the winning books and looking at trying to get back my shocking early losses.

Update

Well played poker over the weekend when i got the chance, had a fair bit of stuff to do including such boring events like getting a haircut and doing xmas shopping. Over the course of about 2-3 sessions though ive come away with a tidy profit.

So not to shabby at all really. The bankroll is up over $1400 dollars again and although that still translates to a loss for the month thus far i couldnt be happier. Over this last week ive learnt that i can win at this game it just takes discipline and confidence. I think while i was at the higher limits somewhere along the line i lost both of those 2 and i dont plan on going back until i know that i can stay composed under pressure.

Prolly not gonna have much time for poker 4 the next week or so but will try and erase that deficit for the month by the end of december and hopefully report a small profit for the month!

Hey all didnt have alot of time over the last couple of days to play poker but did get a session in last night. I started off taking a few bad beats from crap like guys re raising me with junk then hitting with that junk on the flop. It never ceases to amaze me when i hold say AQs against say 38o and they will hit a 3 and i will not improve. This seems to happen alot and for some reason i still cannot put people on hands like this when i raise PF even from early position they will still call. Then again this is limit we are talking about.

Well although there were some suckout hands i did make quads at one point to win a hefty pot when i held 87 in the bb and the flop came up 887. YES!!! capped the betting and then the turn brought another 8! WOOT! River was an Ace and i really did feel sorry for my friend with AA but i wasnt gonna not take his money

Overall for the night a profit of around $37.00 which aint to shabby. Hitting my straps again and roll is now at $1450 only $100 shy of breaking even which in itself amazes me!

This was just cool! my biggest 1/2 pot ever lol!
