Had an awesome one today. 141 hands +$103.80 or +147.23 BB/100. I played OK, but ran well. That's something different. Usually I feel I played well, but ran bad, played well and ran normal, or whatever, but today I only think I played ok, but ran very well.

My other big catch is posted here:
forum/viewtopic.php?t=24633

There were a couple of other decent wins and only 1 $9 loss. Again vs a very loose player in the BB with QQ whe I had 99 in the SB. I just had a bad feeling about the hand and kept it fairly cheap considering he flopped a boat and slowplayed it till the river and only min-raised my flush.

lol... i guess the little guy is just out of luck, and besides, no one is afraid of him since he is such a small stack that he is bound to be in on flop.. if he would enter with $20 I think the story would be a little different (not much, just a little) in his favor..

Just got through with a marathon of online MTT's (7) lasting 5:45. Each elimination was more disgusting than the last. I'm sure ED will appreciate some of these. The last one is the most ridiculous. 3rd time in a row that somebody called my all-in with 9-high or worse and beat me.

1 - Limit Omaha 8 $5.50 buy-in just for the heck of it. The was one guy at the table that may have been the WORST O8 player I've ever seen in my life. He dominated and had the chip lead when I was eliminated. Finished 70th out of 104.

This is my exit hand: [Ad][[2h][8c][Ah]. God rewards those who play garbage hands in O8. A2 4x for me, 2 on the flop 3 of the 4x.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1100064

2 - NL Hold'em $11 buy-in. Finished 51 out of 279.
Here is the brutal KO punch. [Jh][Jc] all-in preflop vs some dummy who pushed [Ah][6h]. Yup, I woulda cashed if I could win as a 69% favorite. Dealer, Ace on the flop please.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1100100

3 - HORSE $5 buy-in. I dominated the Stud Hi/Lo here. Thank you SS2.
Here's an effin ridiculous hand though where I got fed up and flipped out on this dipshit after the hand:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1100109
Although I never really had a high, how the hell do you call a PFR with [Ks][3h][6d][6s] and another bet on a [4d][Tc][7s] flop. Then after he hits the gutshot on the river he tells me about some ridiculous flush draw.

Me: what a catch. nh
Jackass: ty but flush draw too

Me: there was a flush draw on the flop?
Me: i need glasses lol didn't see that
Jackass: u need glass to see on the TURN too?
Me: Oh. backdoor flush draw. I didn't see that. Nice call, I apologize.
FUCKING IDIOTS

I actually got to the final table here and finished 2nd out of 60. $63.50 profit.

4 -$11K Gaurranteed $26 buy-in. 250th out of 584
My bad, I just sucked. Couldn't catch a hand and pushed from BB with [Ac][3c] after SB raised me for the 3rd time in a row. He called. ATo is good.

5 - $26 Tolken Turbo $6.50 buy-in. I just played this because it was there and put myself through this:
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1100131 68% favorite
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1100135 58% favorite
Can I win a hand where I'm ahead in an MTT please????

6 - $19K Gaurranteed $26 buy-in. I cashed because i went completely card dead in the half hour before the bubble. Then finally found myself all-in with 99 in SB vs BB confrontation. Lose to J8. Jack on the river please.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1100153 2-1 favorite
CAN I GET MY MONEY IN AS A FAVORITE AND WIN????
I profited $10.11 after finishing 134 out of 1003.

4x ALL-IN as a favorite tonight (and that's only hold'em) and ZERO wins.

7 - $26K Gaurranteed $26 buy-in. This one's for ED.
WHAT A CALL WITH 6 HI
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1100162

That's the 3rd time in a row that some schmuck has done that to me and won the hand. What am I pushing with there? 54????

O for 5 tonight getting all-in as a favorite!!!

I'm pretty surprised that nobody here has picked up on this yet, but I was over browsing the 4 forums and looking through a thread on Sklansky Bucks when I saw a user who had developed some new EV calculation software. I went to the website (http://www.pokerevsoftware.com/) and downloaded it yesterday and I haven't been able to tear myself away from it yet.

MY GOD! This is the MOST AWESOME piece of poker software ever invented. "Phil" from 2+2, I don't you, I've never posted on 4 and probably never will, but I may someday owe my sanity to you. This software may end up saving lives.

So far, a little of what I've found......
- When I had that really bad cash game run in March I was running horribly, but have since made up for it and my total winnings for April/May are sligtlly above where they shoud be.
- I must be doing something right. My C-bets and non-showdown hands are WAY in my favor. I'm winning way more than should be expected with C-bets so I should probably continue doing what I'm doing.
- I'm taking a lot of money in pots that aren't going to showdown which makes me feel that I'm reading players or situations a lot better now.

And I haven't even gotten to playing around with draws yet.

I never knew Phil posted here. I rarely frequent the Omaha forums so I guess that's why I never knew. I rarely frequent the 2+2 software forum either so I guess it was fate. If he ever pops up here again, I guess I'll have to thank him personally. He's probably spending so much time on that thing that he hasn't had time to show up here.

Yeah, I'm kind of getting the impression that 2+2er's would be upset about this software being made public.

Conditions Under Which A Tournament Win Are Impossible - Or - $26 And 1:30 Hours Of My Life I'm Never Getting Back
The following is an instance of when poker is definitely NOT a game of skill and totally one of luck. I spent the first half hour building a decent stack and feeling pretty good about this MTT until I was moved to the land of No Fold buttons. Everyone was raising and calling and pushing with as little as K5s and even Q2s. I even saw a post-flop c/r AI with 22 and a call by 88 with 2 overs on board. And of course these players had the big stacks.

Hand 1: JJ on an 886 flop. Thought I was getting it in good because both opponents were loose. The bigger stack was one of the chief maniacs at the table. Unfortunately he actually had a big hand for once.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1109895

Hand 2: Never a dull moment in a full tilt MTT
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1109901

So now I've played 2 hands and had to show both (JJ and KK)
Then I sit back and watch and fold 23 hands straight because I haven't had a hand with both cards higher than a 6 except for K9o when there was a raise a call and a push in front of me.

So, a rarity as both maniacs fold, I'm MP2 and CO, BUT, and BB are 3 of the tighter players at the table. I only need to get past SB. I figured folding every hand except JJ and KK might get me the blinds, but nope. BB calls and C/R all-in on the flop. I fold.

Two hands later I pick up AQo UTG+2. I raise, BUT (same player) re-raises my whole stack, BB (head maniac) calls, I have to fold and BUT pushed on TQK flop.

So it's back to folding the next 17 hands and then being forced to push for 1110 with 80/160 blinds from MP with KJo. BUTTON had AQo and I'm gone.

I should have just e-mailed FT and asked them to take $26 out of my account and done something useful with that hour and a half. There was no way I was cashing unless I was dealt Aces about 5x and withstood flopped sets to resuck a few times.

I mean no shit look at this. This was the kinda thing you had to beat because they weren't losing. If their determined to call off with Q2s vs the short stack rock (his only other hand played was his QQ vs my KK where he flopped a set and then I re-sucked on the turn) then there is no skill involved. It's all luck.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1109919

Seriously, if somebody has a strategy for these type of tournaments when you go card dead, I'd really love to hear it. I just wish that Full Tilt would properly label the maniac suckout tournaments as such.

UTG $45.75 (16/5/18) limps
UTG+2 $41.60 (48/9/42) raises to $2
MP2 $59.76 (28/7/33) calls $2
OTB [Qh][Qc] I re-raise to $7

UTG calls, UTG+2 calls, MP2 calls

OH SHIT!
PLEASE LET ME FLOP A SET, PLEASE LET ME FLOP A SET, PLEASE LET ME FLOP A SET

When I flop a set or a big hand and I'm all-in, I sometimes see my opponent's 2-4 outs in head and pray that that card doesn't come. Many times it shows up right after I see it in my head. So I figured this time if I could just visualize a Queen in my head, it would show up on the flop.

FLOP: [Jc][Qd][Js] Pot $28.75

THANK YOU!

Checked to me. I thought about checking behind and maybe I should have, BUT I remembered a hand a few orbits back where UTG was in a raised and re-raised pot with JJ. The board came xxA and UTG check/raised all-in because, he said, the other players flop bet looked a little weak. The other player had AQ and called. I'm also trying to figure out what kind of hand a very tight player UTG would limp and call a raise and re-raise with? I had a read on UTG+2 as being a dummy who liked to call and bluff.

So.....I bet $12.50 hoping UTG might c/r me all-in like before OR that somebody else had a Jack. Unfortunately UTG folded, BUT UTG+2 is a dummy and called the $12.50 leaving him with $22.10. MP2 folded.

[As] Pot $53.75
MP2 checks. Now I figure I have no option but to push here and hope he has AJ. I did take a lot of time before pushing though and he insta-called with........[Ad][Ks] and I was fortunate enough to dodge one of the 2 remaining Aces.

Unfortunately though, I still finish slightly down for the 3rd consecutive week due just about entirely to the 1/2 HORSE session from Thurs post that I was just playing to kill time.

One of these days I really will take the time to read and figure out how to post screen shots and post some of the graphs I got from that PokerEV software.
