OK 2 day update:

Saturday....hmmmmm Saturday I got the bi-annual 'you're playing too much poker speach from Mrs. Allstar. So, on the heels of March's first losing session, I took Saturday off and got an unprecedented 11 consecutive hours sleep. I honestly don't think I slept this long since I was laid up with knee surgery in 2001.

Sunday: Jones'ing for some poker, played a quick quick 1 hr session while the baby and the momma were napping in the afternoon. Played a $10SNG and 3 cash tables. Won the SNG and made +85BB in the cash games (from this point on, due to bouncing back and forth bw $100NL FR and $200NL FR, I'll justr express profits in BB).

Night session, played another SNG and won that, then went on to crush the tables for another 500 or so BB. Possibly (not sure) my most profitable day of online poker - crushed it for like $700 or so...

So March'es first loss id entirely wiped out x2, and the PT BB/100 number over loike 10k hands is northh of 14. I still plan to post March's stats when I get some time. Good night last night. I packed it in at 2am, couldnt sleep till like 245am (very unusual for me), and wasnt even tired when I woke up. A big win is exhilirating.

Anyone see a leak here. Shamefully overplaying the shit out of Suited Connectors. If anything this discovery will make the 2 hrs I just spent poring over PT worthwhile.

Amazingly, I am winning at every position except UTG, including both blind spots. I realize that 8k hands is nothing, but in my last DB, I had 100k hands and the blinds were the only 2 spots I was losing in. Any comments or criticisms are welcome and encouraged.

Just curious as to why you put money in 4 out of 13 times with 85s. A low two gapper should be mucked in all cases IMO unless you're in the BB and it's free. I woudn't even compelte the SB for that hand. You play $100 NL, right? Haven't played much at this level, but I wouldn't think you'd need to get this clever by playing these sorts of hands to win at these stakes.

I think your loses with AKs are an abbaration, I wouldn't worry about it.

Other than that dude, keep it up, looks like you're kicking some ass and I'm envious of your PTBB/100 lately!!

Thanks Runner. Yeah, weird on 85s, not sure why I VPIP'ed with it 4/13times. I did play about 300 hands with a fish heads up, that might explain some of it, but my overall vpip is very low for me, down at 22%. Agreed on the AKs, I lost 1 huge pot (150BBs or so) when my turned flush got beat by a rivered boat. With just 15-20 instances, 1 loss like this skews the numbers, but the macro trend with SCs was eye opening. I'm going to start pitching QJs and KJs right off the bat, even 1st in. At FR, there's no need to play hands like this - esp. when I'm 4 or 5 tabling. Just a waste of energy for a hand that, AT BEST, has a very slim profitable expectation, even with optimum play


Regarding my stakes, I have played mostly 100FR, with a few thousand hands of 200FR mixed in. I am overrolled for both (roll north of 13k), but I just dont want to deal with the bigger swings. I'm happy making $50/hr for now. I dont really rely on the profit for anything other than throw away money, so there's no pressure or rush to move up in stakes. I've already withdrawn 1.5k for AC this week and plan to WD about 4K for Vegas in June (WSOP sattys). Other than than, I just give it to my wife...

Weekly Update

No PT Handy, so this is pretty much from memory...

Have played barely more than 2k hands in the last week, which is probably my most shamefully lazy week in a while. 2 main factors are to balme here:

1. AC TRip I took this weekend - trip report to follow

2. Speech from wife + residual guilt from AC trip (see last post)

In any case, I've only played 3 sessions since Friday, and it went well. In the first session, I started out down 300BB (3 stacks - mixture of 100/200FR). I must have had an overpair vs a flopped set like 5 times in 500 hands...Anyway, in that session, I did come back to post a profit of 70 or so BBs. Next 2 sessions were 2 short sessions of about 250bbs each.

Ive played exactly 10k hands so far this month and won north of $2k. PT BB/100 is still at just about 10. Only played 300 or so hands of 200NL this week and crushed it for like 30ptbb/100. Not sure why I am having such a hard time letting go an moving to 200nl full time. I am overroolled for it and just dont feel like dealing with the swings. For some reason my SD is pretty high and going through a short term bad run would f with my head pretty good I think. Whatever.

So the online thing is going well. Hope to put in a good 3 or 4k hands before the month is up.
