My first day as a 50 player went reasonably well. I realized I can play 2 tables and still give full attention to both, but I think I'm going to limit it to that.

With bonus I cleared just over $200 ... I'm still controlling the tilt caused by losing a $100 pot as a 70% favorite ... weren't for that it would have been over a $300 day. I bet out pre-flop with AA42 ... the flop landed A35 ... buddy went all in with me and caught his flush. I have to remind myself after a loss like that ... it's gonna happen ... in fact it'll happen about 1/3 of the time so don't get all surprised and mad when it does.

Anyway, I'm pleased that I'm okay with the bigger bets ... I'm finding it more relaxing ... with the 20PLO I had to work very hard to grind out a couple of hundred ... it's nice that I can take it easier with the same results.

I was just passing a bit of time by reading another forum. (I know I know). I won't name it but we all know it.

I am so glad for BTP. Here I find clear and concise intelligent strategy ... there I saw a lot of muddling and ideas that were either just too basic ... or in some instances flat out wrong. Too much blind leading the blind from what I can see.

Not to say that there are not a LOT of intelligent players there, but I just saw way too much background noise ... I'm not sure how a beginner could grow trying to sort through all that.

Anyway, just thought I'd share. If I tried to implement a lot of the strategies I was reading ... I'd be broke in no time. (Seriously, a 2/3 pot CBET as a standard play? WTF? In OMAHA??!!) Maybe that's the school of thought the maniacs I run into have graduated from. It's certainly not winning poker.
