Alright ... so I'm a reasonably experienced PLO-High player. I don't know everything, but I know a lot. After almost a year of PLO, I want to skill up at hi-lo.

BTP ... help me take my PLO-hi skill set, and tell me what modifications to make in order to adapt to PLO-hi/lo.

What I know so far:

~ avoid playing 'middle cards'
~ if possible, play for the low and gamble for the high

That's it. I can think my way through a hand of course, but those are the only real rules of thumb I have for differentiating between the 2 versions of the game.

i'd raise the flop max. you are in great shape to win both high and low and unless he has a set like he did, you might not even have to make your straight.

I'll try to find some but I'm playing $25 plo due to a bet with a friend that I can win 100 buyins in 2 weeks. As you can guess, not much interesting stuff coming up.

you need to win $2500 playing plo25 in two weeks? thats gonna take a sick heater and a lot of hands.

i have a whole bunch of hands that i save for myself for review but haven't really thought much are worth posting. plus, i'm lazy.

I don't know much about plo8 but for most part, you want to play low hands that can hit a good high too. you want to push hands where you are in good shape to win at least one with a chance to win the other. Don't be chasing for only half a pot. You are looking to scoop and 3/4 people. Don't play high only hands unless they are very strong because you wil often be in there against low draws that will hit often enough and then be freerolling to take the high portion from you.

If anyone disagrees with this, feel free to correct me, I won't be surprised.
